Black XJ is 2.5 turbo diesel and green is 2.5 with gas engine (both factory installed engines).
CHEAP JEEPER yea I have never seen the 2.5 turbo diesel here in the states either
@@team_suv7778 We have them in Europe and 2.5 td has more torque and consumes less fuel than 2.5 gas engine, peace
VM Motori, one of the worst engines in the world... AMC i6 4.0L one of the best.

I have experienced the vm td, and would love to have one if brand new. Lovely motor to drive, but do not age well, in my opinion. My xj now have a 3l toyota td, and my worries are gone.
It's not the best engine ever 😅 but I didn't have any problems. I have two in the family and zero problems. I hope it stays that way. 😁

How is the maintenance on the 2.5? I’m so tempted to buy a ZJ with the diesel. They are so cheap now and got everything you ever want
The only thing to watch out for is overheating at higher speeds. If you don’t need it for high speeds, there will be no problems and will serve you well.
Great thing is that this engine can run on vegetable oil or on wasted motor oil. 😉

V8AmericanMuscleCar Thanks for your reply, no I never go fast and like more to crawl around off-road than abuse it. For the price zj are going for now it’s even worth it to swap a Hilux engine or something later. Yours are really nice condition! I used to drive a Nissan king cab on veg oil years ago, the 2.5td loved it

Meni se sviđa Explorer, pogotovo ti stariji modeli. Mislim da treba pripaziti malo na ove sa 5 brzinskim automatskim mjenjacem. Navodno nisu pouzdani kao ostali pa malo prouci. Oko ovih kocka ti vise znam. 😁

Da, Jastrebasko, 30km od Zagreba prema Karlovcu. A ovaj dio je oko Crne Mlake, to su ribnjaci i rezervat ptica. Tu je dosta močvarno tlo pa je i u sred ljeta zabavno. 😁

and I want 3"lift. But before it I need fix oil leaking between engine and transmission.. I have all parts but I can't find bolts to flywheel here ink Czech rep. I want ask you for help. Do you know where get these bolts for 2.5TD? Thank you.

2.5l or 4.0l are they both pretty reliable ?
4.0 is the best engine in XJ. 2.5 gas engine is ok and 2.5 turbo diesel is ok if you fallow some rules (overheating mostly). I like my 2.5 turbo diesel and I don't have problems.

Wich engine is better?
The turbo diesel engine is good if it does not overheat. It is not for high speeds or high rpms but there's also no need for high rpms.
2.5 gas engine is not bad as I know.
4.0 is the best engine in XJs.

@@vladleonard86 yes! I was driving two seasons on vegetable oil. It can run on 100% veg oil when the temperature is 10 or more Celsius.
It's almost the same with wasted motor oil, but with WMO you need 25, 30% diesel too.

@@V8AmericanMuscleCar i so a video where some gui was running veg.oil on his cummings diesel engine. But he had separate tank with separate valves and filter...heating pipes to heat up the tank and the filter...lot of mods
@@vladleonard86 this is all stock. Jeep have little fuel heater in the filter box, that heater is factory installed and all 2.5 TD have it.
This engine is great because it doesn't need any modifications. 😉

Koji imaš, benzinac ili diesel?
Ova su oba 2.5 ali zeleni je benzinac, a crni je turbo diesel. Oba su sa tvorničkim auspuhom.

@@nedinmandzuka7244 možda se tako čini na videu, ne znam. U leru je nekad glasniji, ali to nije do motora nego ima lufta nešto u mjenjaču pa ponekad to vibrira. Kad se to desi, glasniji je.
