Breaking through after you die to the other side to heaven or hell because Jim Morrison knew where he was going because he sold out ⬇️ "Made the scene Week-to-week day-to-day Hour of hour (The gate is straight deep and wide) break On through To The other side" Lyrics to "Break on through" by The Doors Matthew 7:13 "Enter ye in at the (strait gate for wide is the gate) and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and (many) of those who enter in by it" Because Jim Morrison knows Satan will fool the masses.
I think the original version, where he sings "She get!" and leaves out the "high" is the better version. As always, subtlety wins over obviousness. Of course, it's really all about what version you heard first. For someone who's heard the "She get high!" version first, the song would be missing something with just "She get", but the "She get" builds more tension. Love the way how he sings "thruuuuu" at the end.
Yeah and he open his mind to the Bible but didn't believe it and sold out anyways because Breaking through after you die to the other side to heaven or hell so Jim Morrison knew where he was going eventually because he sold out ⬇️ "Made the scene Week-to-week day-to-day Hour of hour (The gate is straight deep and wide) break On through To The other side" Lyrics to "Break on through" by The Doors Matthew 7:13 "Enter ye in at the (strait gate for wide is the gate) and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and (many) of those who enter in by it" Because Jim Morrison knows Satan will fool the masses.
@LewDanLasivious8276 Your beliefs aren't the same as mine, and others who aren't deceived anymore. Research outside of the Bible can be very enlightening! If you haven't caught on yet then you've missed the boat. No heaven no hell. Every soul lives on ! No more reincarnation for me.
@@CriTiCriTiques thanks to my father. Break on through blew my mind the first time I heard it. And my life has changed, literally. I'm happy that our gen listen to this incredible stuff
Back in the day, we didn't have new-fangled headgear to listen through. We used a seashell, and only the rich kids could afford a shell for each ear. Thanks for the trip down the tunnel of memories!
Lot of people assume Jim was tripping all the time but really it was more occasional compared to booze which he favored above all else. P.S. "I'll drop a line" I'm pretty sure just meant "I might call you back" :P
Talk about weird, I'm 72 so I was only about 16 in 1967, when 'They' took, control of my 'manhood'. Even today they haunt me, and stay in my inner thoughts.(a lot like a religion). You young man broke it down like your going for your PHD. Great job dude and dudess! You guys get it!!! ya brought the fun back in.
I just turned 30 and I got into The Doors last year and I wish I knew them sooner. The Crystal Ship is my favorite song right now. I’m picking up the vinyl later today 💛
"The Crystal Ship" could be interpreted in many ways. Is it death, is it drugs and trips, is it people indulging in hedonism while the author is looking for true love? "Drop a line" just means "I'll give you a call". But note that this song was written BEFORE they became "rock stars". It was only after the release of this album that they rocketed to popularity. That's when all the women threw themselves at him. So we're seeing a more "innocent" Jim on this first album.
The End - was what we felt in the late 60’s the draft had invaded everyone’s life . Our friends were going to Vietnam and lots were coming home in boxes . So when Jim is singing the end - he was talking about how we all felt . The Blue bus - was what we rode down to selective service . The idea of the “ kings highway “ is the El Camino hi y goes from LA to NorCal . And “ all the children ( the draftees - ) are insane , waiting for the summer rain ( the monsoon’s ) and we were going insane , hoping the rain would wash us clean . And the end is what happened to all the FNG’s - who were careless . And the end “ of everything “.

Wow, great reaction. I've been listening to the Doors since their inception, and I never heard this version with "She get high." My parents were so cool when I was a teen - any group they hated, I loved. And they hated The Doors.
"Soul Kitchen" has always been one of my favorites on this album. Great lyrics, great delivery, great guitar solo. For the bass, in the studio they'd have session musicians play bass. Live, they'd have Ray play bass on the keyboard. This is why, in my opinion, their live sound always lacked a bit of bottom.
ohh I love this reaction! thank you for reacting to this. btw are you gonna give us Winner Concert part 3, Winner TV ep 3 and yg family part 2 on christmas? I'm dying hereeeee 😭😭😭😭
my favorite band... Jim morrisons lyrics are so poetic\
same for me! found them last year and they instantly became my favorite band. found them on my 19th birthday actually lol

Favorite band. Jim my favorite singer! Their dark, mysterious, hypnotic sound is timeless

Every one of their albums are unique and complete classics!
It's great to see the next generations discover great music.
They once were young , like you guys …opening up there minds to it all

I'm 66 and they've been my favorite since the mid 70's ❤
I'm so impressed by your research. Thank you, for the respect you showed these incredible artists. The Doors music is timeless.

i feel like you guys would also love their strange days album!

Your correct alcohol was his downfall.
It was Pam who was (probably) addicted to heroine, which is what got Jim in the end.
I graduated HS in 1982. I discovered The Doors in 1981, before that I was listening to Sinatra and Dino. Odd.
Riders on the Storm!

The Doors the sound of our angst . The late 60’s - 70’s tumultuous. The Vietnam war , the draft .
As a The Doors fan i ran into Infected Mushroom renditions of some of their songs many years ago, i can strongly recommend if you like both :)
Can’t wait for your tmap reactions
Thanks for doing this. Please don't leave us hanging and do the full album!
Great reactions, love it.
I'll drop a line means i'll call you, like a phone line.

You never were allowed to have high in the lyrics back then. Almost like MF now.
"20th Century Fox" is great. Describes a powerful, beautiful woman who knows her own worth and power. And that guitar solo: fire.
"Soul Kitchen" has always been one of my favorites on this album. Great lyrics, great delivery, great guitar solo.

Manzarek said it was about being on psychedelics, breaking through to that side, nothing more, simple
