Have you ever tried propagating any plants? It is so much easier than I thought. Let me know down below if you have propagated any plants and which ones are the easiest and which ones are the hardest for you. I am currently learning how to propagate other plants that are definitely harder than the Monstera Deliciosa 💚🌱
Very nice plant! I just bought a small cutting of monstera from someone and it's in a Solo cup of water right now, it has roots but it's a small sized cutting. Is it safe to pot in soil now or leave in water for roots to grow longer? I'm afraid of leaving it in water too long but it seems like people leave it for weeks to root? Also do you need to let the roots air dry a bit before putting into the soil as I'm afraid of root rot too 😄🌱?
Hi there! You are honestly good to plant it now. You can even skip the process of having the roots grow in water. It can go from cutting straight into soil if you would like but I love watching the process of roots establishing in water. I find it so fascinating. I usually leave my cuttings in water for about 2-4 weeks. But like I said you can skip the water propagating all together and plant right into soil. It will still root. You also do not have to allow the roots to dry they can go right into soil as well. Hope this helps. 👍
looks awesome and what a great basket with the plastic liner! I guess you'd take it out of there every time you water it so water doesn't overflow? Anyway, thanks, I have a monstera in water, have heard and seen different things about how long to let the roots get before planting it.
Hi there! Yes I for sure take the plant out of the basket and just water in the nursery pot. I have waited for up to 3 months before planting a propagation of a monstera and it has been just fine but I don’t know how long is too long to wait either.
Love your videos you give great information 🤠 ty for everything I'm about to post a few videos of my plants if you or anyone in the comments can give tips would greatly appreciated.
I probably should have watched this before I transplanted my monstera...I bought it from someone who had it in water for almost a year. It's suffering from shock, badly! Two totally yellow leaves, I am watching it carefully....
I am not sure how it will do with the roots being in water for that long. I have also noticed if I keep them in water for too long they do struggle. But you never know with plants sometimes they are miraculous and can rebound. Good luck with your and thanks for watching 💚🌱 Keep me updated on how it does as I am now very curious if it survives.

Excellent. Thank you
UA-cam made me do it. LOL I got 2 new monstera deliciosa plants and propagated some of the leaves. Have to see how they will do. 😂
That is awesome! You will start to notice roots growing in a few weeks 👍

@@theplantingbug2045 awesome thank you 🤗💕🌱
Thank you ✨💝✨💚
How deep can you plant them? I have one in water now with aerial roots growing from above the water line down towards and into the water.

When cutting my monstera and putting it in water, how often should I change the water for those 2-4 weeks?
