- Awesome news! Sanlida Archery will be offering a 62” version of the popular Hermit 10 ILF hunting bow in weights up to 60#! We’re going to be speed testing this prototype bow today! www.sanlidaout...
From the company
Hermit 10 bow 62".
At present, we have produced samples of Hermit 10 Limbs 62" and still need to conduct sample testing.
An approximate completion time will not be available until we complete testing and begin to determine production quantities.
And then we will send you an email about sale time at that time, is it okay?
You are the gold standard in traditional archery !! I haven't tried traditional yet , I do shoot a compound and with all your help I am well on my way to shoot a traditional bow
If you like archery you're going to love traditional I used to be a compound shooter gotta recurve not even a year ago and absolutely love it. Haven't touched my compound since
If you like archery you're going to love traditional archery I used to be a compound shooter got my first recurve about a year ago haven't touched my compound sentence
It's a whole different ball game than using a compound. But have fun, nothing like shooting a trad bow.
Congratulations sir, feels great to have somebody turn your idea into reality. Enjoy the high and give glory to THE MAN UPSTAIRS. You da man
I'm holding out for the LEFT HANDED version
I've ask that same question about left handed models
I think what I'm gonna do is get a Pat Norris riser and some Black Wolf limbs. Not quite as cheap as the Sanlida bundle, but still awesome performance for the price.
Jeff how do we order the 62”?
Seriously I just bought a Hermit X10 with the 60” limbs and now you tell me this ? That’s ok my draw of 29.5” should be ok with the 60” limbs. Watched your vid about it and you didn’t seem to think longer draw lengths would have a problem. I’ll let you know how it works out after I get it and put some arrows down range with it.
Whith that draw u should have a 66” bow a longer 🫣
Tried to find on Amazon, 40 lbs limbs at the highest weight on the 60".
Hey, Jeff. Unless I'm looking at the wrong website(s), Sanlida has yet to offer the 62" version of the Hermit X10. Do you think they have changed their minds?
Ironically, right after your initial, wildly enthusiastic review of the original 60" Hermit, I visited two different Sanlida web pages and found a listing for Hermit limbs in THREE different lengths, that would make the Hermit bow 60', 62", or 64".( I wanted the 62" version of the bow you liked so much.) But there were no accompanying prices, so I emailed the company.
The prompt response was as follows, "deeply sorry to let you know, we don't have stock or production plans for the 62" limbs currently." This, of course was disappointing and also confusing: Why would an archery company list for sale archery equipment/components. that it had no intention of producing?!? Keep up the great videos, Chris (in Maine)
I’m not sure exactly but they did tell me that they were proofing the limbs and were going to be available, they initially posted the option on their website and then took it down because everything was just too premature and their testing of poundage was still in the engineering phase since previously all medium and long limbs were calculated on a 25” riser.
Great work Sanlida and Jeff!!! Collaboration!!❤
They are the coolest!
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 I just had a few shots here this morning (Australia) with my Hermit X10 and dang I'm loving the Hermit!! My shooting has improved so much that others are saying "Wow!!".
I think Sanlida, or you Jeff, should adopt me!! I'm a well behaved 55 year old Aussie bloke willing to work for Archery equipment!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Jokes aside, I love what you and Sanlida are doing!! Love to Sanlida too!!❤❤❤❤
Memorial Day FFS buy American!!🇺🇸
Buying from Korea is not a terrible option either.
@@ThirdLawPairdefinitely better than supporting China. Everyone should watch Jake Kaminski's video about how this company operates before supporting them.
@@brianwebster6535 I have and I agree with Jake. Though I am left-handed, so it's easy for me to say that I support Jake when Sanlida doesn't offer a product I could buy anyway. I believe that there are good companies in China and that supporting those companies isn't the same as supporting China itself, but Sanlida did cross a line for me. But like I said, that opinion would mean a lot more from someone who is actually in a position to pay extra to take their business to another company, which doesn't include lefties like me.
Jeff, when you get the new limbs can you please do this type of video again but draw it to 29.5" and let us see the performance. I have already purchased a 40 lb X8 for my fiance and a 45 lb X8 for my daughter. I want to buy a 55 lb X8 for myself but might consider a Hermit instead. I believe that the X8 55lb would be really powerful at my 29.5" draw because I shot both of their bows when I bought them and they shot very fast and smooth. I want 55 lb because that's what my Bear Montana is and I want to shoot consistent lbs. Thanks for all that you do and God bless.
It’s going to be a complete bow!
Sweet. Thanks. Lots of research and watching... Top archery, tbow etc.. Looks like i'm going to go with hermit... And glad I just saw this video As I was getting ready to order.. I'll wait for the 62...Which in the comments says comes in September now. Cool.
Awesome! I asked them to add quiver/sight mounting holes to the riser. Would be perfect if they did that.
It looks like there are holes at the top and bottom of the riser. I wonder if they're meant for a 2 piece quiver to be mounted?
Are they going to make em for us lefties also or just right handed models ???
Hello Jeff, what do you think about 45 pounds recurve for training and 3d? I want one of Bear Bows but these come only from 45 in LH. Is it overkill for my purposes? At the momment im using 35 pounds and could shot with it like few hours
When is the bow going to be for sale?
They’re supposed to be available very soon! I’ve already got some limbs on the way from them so it shouldn’t be long!
Hope they get the medium limbs soon. I am wanting to get one and get it tuned up! September 14th 2024 here in Georgia is the opening day for archery season.
Sanlida makes some amazing bows. my 70" 40# miracle x10 is the smoothest bow i've ever shot. Just bought the granddaughters two of the Royal x8s to get them started. Excellent beginner bow. Looks like I need a Hermit, altho I don't hunt. Can't have too many bows. Keep the great videos coming Jeff.
I'm sold... Awesome bow!!!
I'm gonna order one, because the bow is great and also some guy on here told me not to buy from them and I'm a grown was man, I'll do as I wish...👍👍
Great video my friend and thanks
Can you tell me when the new limbs in the hunting configuration will be available and tell me how to order.
I added a raised rest to mine and a small stabilizer!! Shoots !!! And quiet!!!!
Any word when we will get the 60# version? I only haven't picked one up yet because I favor shooting 55/60# bows..
I did get an email this week saying that they were in proofing process and should be ready very soon.
Tell them to name it "Instinction".
Im glad they are. Thats why i hadnt bought one yet. I was looking for a 62in.
@@jamieharget6958 September!!!!
For those of us that already have the Hermit 10 can we purchase just the limbs?
You can, but they're almost the cost of the entire bundle. For that much money you could get a set of Black Wolf limbs
Alternative Services is a well respected archery shop in the UK. They've sold Sanlida Miracle (X10) as well as X9, X8, and X7.
How do the original short limbs compare to the longer limbs in the video speed wise?
@@michaellundgren8551 speed is almost identical the new limbs will just be better for longer draw length guys!
Not sure if you’ll see this but my Hermit x10 doesn’t seem to have tiller bolt set screws. So basically this makes adjusting the tiller impossible. Sent email to Sanlida but haven’t heard back. Does yours have set screws that are adjustable ? Kinda disappointed right now with the bow.
Yes they do have lock screws down in the back holes and they take the same size wrench as the bolts, sometimes on ILF risers it can be tricky to get your Allen key lined up just right to get into the slots but they do have them unless for some reason yours didn’t come with any which seems very unlikely.
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 Man do I feel dumb. The Allen key it came with is sort of cheap and wouldn’t fit the set screw but I have lots of Allen keys so I did find one that fit it. Thanks for the help and keep up the awesome vids.
Where can you order one of these 62" hermits I only see them on Amazon?
www.sanlidaoutdoor.com/web/?invite=15192 here’s the link but they won’t be available on the site for a couple more weeks!
Hey Jeff, any new information on when Sanlida will make available the 62” Hermit bow? (Longer limbs) Thanks, Ron
Yes, they shipped me the very first set out earlier this week and said they are in the final proofing process for full production so they should be available really soon!
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 thank you!
Thank you Jeff for all your hard work!. I have only a 25" draw length and wanted a 45# hermit. But the prior model only had 45# max limbs at 28 so they wouldn't get me there. Will this 62" new model with 50# limbs be a waste for someone with shorter draw lengths, like 25"? Thanks again.
At what draw length does this thing stack? 30? 31?
@@philrose8777 well I couldn’t feel any stacking as far as I could possibly draw it and I honestly believe they’re going to be very smooth out to 32”
Looks like a winner. Uuhhkka , not sure about the spelling discontinued a model of carbon/glass limbs that I have that r of this quality. The limbs I have were from the Nika company & the model # is called the N3. They sell for $280 US $ & they r very popular over the Trad Talk airways. But this new collaboration is like a step or 2 ahead of that. Great job Jeff putting the improved limb to the riser where everyone can benefit from😮😅🎉❤.
Already requested ,can we further request a run of left-handed risers as there is a large community of south-paw archers out there.
Exciting news to have this 62" with these limbs the longer drawers among us also.
Jeff, how do these limbs compare with the likes of Ukkhas at what looks like x3 the price?
Congrats on them turning your idea to a reality. I finally got to shoot my Hermit X10 raw. You are right, this is a easy bow to shoot accurate & fast. This is my first ILF bow. Can you do a video on how made it more quiet? I get the velcro on the limb & silencers. But lost when it comes to where the limb connects to the riser. Also which limb bolt do I tighten to get a little more weight?
Jeff I constantly go back to your shooting videos often. These are not once and done videos by any means. You have a real collection of helpful stuff out there. Just wanted you to know how much i appreciate them and how much they have helped me. As far as this video i will be on the look for the new mediums when they come out. Love my hermit recurve! Thanks Friend!
The bundle for the Sanlida Hermit is really good price, but for what you pay for the limbs alone, you could pay the same and get a set of Black Wolf limbs.
Absolutely Awesome Jeff 👌 👏 I'll be ordering one at tax time 😁 love your videos 🙏
It's a shame it says only in American Market, so does that mean they don't ship to other countries?
Thanks for the video Jeff that is awesome I was thinking of getting a black widow now I don't know what to do
That’s quick.
I am interested price is unbelievable
I’m waiting I will be getting one soon as possible 🦌🏹Thank You sir 😊
Sounds good, where do I purchase it? What seller?
Jeff,
First, thank you for all you have done getting this going (and for all the other videos / info you have so graciously given us).
Secondly, do you have any info on the possibility to preorder one so these bows? Just looked for it on Sanludas website and cannot find any information at all on the Hermit 10.
Sorry if I sound a little anxious, but am trying to get set up for this season… and this combo sounds absolutely right up my alley!
Last, would you recommend a 40 or 45lbs setup for deer out to 30 yards with around a 500gr setup? Am a little worried about poundage as I am coming back from a shoulder injury and have been shooting a Samick Sage at 25 lately with no issues.
They’re supposed to be on their website at Sanlidaoutdoor.com very soon! From what I understand it’ll take a couple more weeks for the warehouses to start being stocked 👍🏻
Hey, I’ve got a 55lb @ 28” keshes recurve. I’m shooting 205 grain Simmons Safari broadheads. I was wondering what arrow spine you would recommend for this combination? Thank you
I'll be patiently waiting for when this is available. When it is I hope there is a link.so.i get everything right
What shooting glove are you using?
Thanks
What's your opinion between this bow or the 60" for my 28" draw. Thanks
For target shooting go for the 62 for hunting use the 60
7:09 that Cicada caught me off guard lol. Almost spilled my coffee. 😂
They’re everywhere 😂👍🏻
Hey Jeff please keep bugging them to start offering the left hand riser 😢
👍🏻
Will those limbs be available by themselves?
Hey Jeff please keep putting a
I see a 64" option on the website
Can I just get the newer limbs? I already have the Hermit X10 in a 45 pounder 30ish draw length.
Yes sir I’m sure they’ll offer the new limbs separately 👍🏻
Now we need a black widow review video 😉
funny
Where can you buy one ?
@@allangilbert7011 They are already showing them on the Sanlida Archery website and I got a confirmation email yesterday that they would be available for immediate shipping from the US warehouses in September in short medium and long limb options and it’s going to be the best shooting ILF bow you’ll ever experience for anywhere near the cost!
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 Thank you so much for information . Where can I actually buy one ? I have looked on some websites but nowhere to click to buy or put it shopping cart.
@@allangilbert7011 The 60” is available now but the 62” which is going to have the Olympic Hunting limbs will be available on their website for immediate shipping from US warehouses in September!
Thanks buddy.
Been researching the last week and finally kinda decided on the hermit... But.
Wanted a sixty two inch.. And can't believe I came across this video today before I was going to order... But then can't find the sixty two inches anywhere@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998
@@miragexl007 they’re going to be available in September for sure! They are in full production now and going to warehouse in Tennessee supposedly by the first part of the month 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome 👌
It came out on May 1st.
I don't see a 62 inch version
When you use velcro to silence the limbs. Is it a certain type or does it not matter? Will any velcro do?
Regular 10# Velcro from Walmart works great!
@@instinctiveaddictionarcher8998 OK so I have my velcro. Which side do I use or does it not matter? My guess would be the soft side?
Either side helps quiet a bow.
So will the bow you are speaking about, be a package deal? Limbs and riser together? Thank you. And im sorry if you already stated that answer in your video
Yes sir! Complete package bow!
