Sontag's reduction of him to kitsch. Then when Brahms' Alto Rhapsody begins, the association is with Wagner; at least culturally it's related. I shuddered when Gluck began...I thought the response might be Handel or Mozart -- something relevant at least. But no, Puccini...again.

Both teams knowledge appears not to be general at all, as they have very little idea about literature or any other kind of art.
