I'm studying to be an elementary school teacher right now and as I was watching this I couldn't help thinking that this would be an awesome way to teach kids about centrifugal force.

Looks great, but I'd totally attach a drill to the bottom somehow so that I could then pour a consistent flow of syrup into it. Also, I'm pretty sure the drill would spin it faster than I could..

I'm wondering if this would work with a pump drill setup and some table syrup or corn syrup. This is an excellent video very inspiring. For those people who were wondering why not just buy the cotton candy this is not about getting cotton candy as much as about solving problems and being creative

You should attach a cordless drill to the top end of the stick as you can give it a faster and more even spin to maximize your yield.
