Janet's facial expressions while Wilma went into her justifications for being a heartless shrew were priceless!! And they called Janet twisted. That Wilma was a narcissistic sociopath.
This episode aired the day I was born! AMC was my mom’s go to soap opera. She watched from its debut in 1970 until its cancellation in 2011. To this day, she still hasn’t forgiven ABC for cancelling it.
Wilma and Janet had the whole Mommy Dearest thing rolling with Joan Crawford and Christina Crawford going. I am sure comparisons were not totally lost on the writers in the 90s.
Wilma deserved that wrath from Janet. Laurel is such a nosy b*tch, her obsession with Jane is fueled by jealousy IMO. Just like with Noah, I'm glad Grace entered Julia's life. She was like a second mother to her and I loved their relationship. Noah kills me though "If you took a couple of steps you'd be outside." lol! I'm glad Grace apologized to Noah, but I also wish Noah would cut her some slack. When he talked to her about Julia, you could see once again how worried he is about Julia. It was nice to see Grace talk to Julia, as a rape victim herself she knows what Julia is going through. She handled it so well, I hate that Julia won't listen and get herself some help.
29:43 Wilma: I gave you a feminist upbringing. Achievement first, looks second. Janet: Baloney. Wilma: That's another thing: your eating habits. Wilma was a hoot!
Man i never knew Noah and Grace were estranged. Oct 3 episode he just cold to her at Edmund's Campaign, and today when he grabbed her like that, I was actually pissed. How the hell you gonna handle your own blood like that and call her ugly mouth and carrying on. But i'm glad them scenes hilled down some. The talk between Grace/Noah, Grace/Julia were good. I really miss Lynn Thigpen (Grace) R.I.P.
I still think it's hysterical whenever Janet goes on about how ugly/homely she was. All it took was a haircut, blonde dye job, and contacts to make her a dead ringer for the " beautiful Natalie ". Oh, and yes she lost weight, but even after she was revealed, and had lost weight she still went on insesently about being ugly.
I've always thought the same thing. She had the exact same face as Natalie, who was beautiful. So her face didn't need any surgery. All she needed was a haircut and contacts to improve her appearance. I remember that she had already lost weight when she impersonated Natalie.
Robin Mattson played the hell out of this scene. But if you go back into AMC history, you will remember Wilma wasn't the best mother to Natalie, either. Janet remembers Wilma treating her like a princess. But I recall some episodes where she pretty much pimped Natalie out and only saw her as a meal ticket. Would have been great to see a scene with Natalie and Janet go in on Wilma for the things she did to BOTH of them.
Trevor did mention that Natalie didn’t have many good things to say about Wilma when Wilma returned to town. The first two Wilma’s weren’t anything like this one, though.
Thank you so much for uploading these. I love seeing them again! Do you know if anyone if posting "Loving" from this time? I've been looking for them for a while now. Thanks!
They were so combative and it could get ugly but I always loved the Grace/Noah scenes - felt so much like real life - Laurel I just hated and ff'd all her scenes. Just like now )

I love these classic episodes
I sure miss AMC!
Janet to Wilma "Why didn't I threaten to murder you years ago?" haha I really loved this showdown between the two.

I agree . . . I was routing for Janet/ Jane all the way! Loved Robin Mattson in anything she did through the 1980's/1990's.

Janet: Baloney.
Wilma: That's another thing: your eating habits.
Wilma was a hoot!
Why didn’t the prison let them know she was released?
I liked the Trevor/Dimitri scenes. That they were able to become friends after Natalie was a nice touch.
Noah calling his Aunt Grace a meddling old bag...smh. Love their scenes together. The 90's was a great time on AMC.
Respect your elders young man

She’s bitter

@@tjames9698 There's footage of the first Wilma on UA-cam, and she's no Miss Mary Sunshine, either.
No, Wilma wasn't good to Natalie, either. But Janet's view of Natalie and Wilma is very distorted by jealousy.

Aunt Grace( where in the world is Carmen San Diego) lol
He could give her a chance

And then Janet whacked Trevor over the head and put him in a freezer.
Don’t Laurel at all!
Lmao and a job to. 🤣
