The webinar will present new methods for efficient computation of the Kirchhoff integral that is a key requirement for studies of rough surface scattering. Particular emphasis will be provided on ocean-like surfaces and the relationship between the Kirchhoff integral and the geometrical optics, two-scale, and “stable PDF” limits of rough surface scattering theory. The seminar will also serve as an introduction to the theory of rough surface scattering.
