  • On this build is the access hatches and gun mount that needed to be secured and yet still be removable to be able to service the rudder and linkage assembly should the need arise after the deck is attached to the hull permanently. I used 12 - 8mm x 2mm rare earth magnets, a clear 1mm thick clear packaging material for flexibility and visibility, and GOOP to secure the magnets in place to do the job.
The drive tube has also been GOOPed down against the battery walls for additional support.
Motor pads and mounts are made of 1.5mm thick styrene and doubled up where needed for attachment points for rigidity. The receiver itself is velcroed on a styrene tray that sits tightly into a slot that is built onto each motor mount. The receiver tray itself also adds lateral rigidity as it ties both motor mounts into one unit.
The FlyColor 30A ESC were GOOPed down lightly on 4 points agains the hull’s bottom for additional heat dissipation and the main 3mm ID silicon cooling lines are made short along with using 2 - 5mm OD x 3mm ID x 180mm long brass tubes for maximum water flow as the boat planes on water. The water pick-up lines were placed mid way of the hull close the keel and ESC water inlet while the discharge line went out through the stern and out through the simulated exhaust manifold which looked perfectly as the brass tubes bore fitted neatly on it.
    40 hours into the build. 20240210 👍👊😎🇵🇭
