You all were in my area of Texas. I live about 20 miles from there and have been going to that beach since I was a child. I suppose you gals drove down to the other end of the road to Indianola. Not much there anymore but a historic cemetery and houses. If you look up Indianola it was a large shipping port back in the day. It was a big thriving city with stores and a railroad and residents. It went through two almost back to back hurricanes that destroyed the city. I think they had a breakout of cholera or scarlet fever or something like that and all three awful events drove the rest of the folks away. When I was watching your previous video, I was pretty sure you were at Magnolia Beach. Don’t miss Padre Island down by Corpus Christi. It’s beautiful. Hope you all enjoy your visit to Texas!
When you take the ferry over to Port Aransas, off to the left there is an awesome day use park called Roberts Point Park. Drive to the end, sit on a bench and watch the dolphins surf with the ships. You won’t be disappointed! 🐬

well, it's not a hot shower, it's just a shower!! but the hot water doesn't seem necessary in this weather. I hope it does get crowed . . . with a load of senior women, out living their best lives!! 😊
The shells are how beach sand starts. You’ll see it in less populated areas. Eventually the tide grinds it up. Being a Dallas girl, it fascinated me when I first moved down here.

Magnolia Beach & Port Aransas are my favorites. I am actually going there in a few days. I love going in October. Most of our Texas beaches are very nice. Be careful for deep loose sand and high tides at some of our beaches. Hope you have experienced our good Texas hospitality!! Enjoy yourselves!

Beautiful spot. I was wondering how come it was so calm compared to the store that is brewing and going to hit the coast of Florida, but Magnolia Beach is actually not on the ocean. It’s on like an inlet bay, Matagorda Bay, which may be one of the reasons why the beach sand isn’t a sandy, it’s more chunky. All beach Sand is actually ground sea shells. 🐚
The water on our Texas beaches isn’t as crystal clear as Florida because we get a lot of water from the mouth of the Mississippi that still has a lot of soil and earth murking up the gulf. I think it clears up the farther south you go.
Might be worth it to go buy a vacuum cleaner to get the bugs out. Or what about a broom or something? Well they might fall on your head, haha. But it looks like you're having a great time.
@@LulusWay64 we have a RV and would like to camp there one weekend but wonder where we can get water. I don't like to travel with water in my tank because its so heavy. BTW you have a new subscriber.
@Edwardsjourney on iOverlander, I see 4 spots in Port Lavaca for water. not sure if they are the kind you can hook up and RV and fill, but you can check that out and see!!! I fill my water jugs using the shower that's here at the beach. worse came to worse, you could fill gallon containers and funnel them into your tanks.
we do whatever we feel like doing, which is basically talking, laughing, dancing, singing, cooking, eating. we each eat whatever we choose at whatever time we individually choose. it's just easy being here and being together!!

I always carry Lysol wipes and air freshner spray in my bathroom bag. Everything, I use for hygiene, I carry.

The hurricane season pulls all those shells in. Go to port Arkansas for white four sand.
Shower shoes needed and maybe an extra towel to sit on if needed. Do you have to pay for the shower?
no charge for the shower. no hot water but you really don't need it. of course shower shoes, kinda goes without saying! eewww!!! 😊

Curious as you are staying free and hate the spiders. It would take you a minute to mop that wall down. .
I don't have a mop. and it's not my business to take them down. they are spiders that are living their lives!! 😊
They take care of the ecosystem, letting the spiders eat the bugs and, for sure, an endless tedious job and probably don't get paid enough 😁
Many beaches have water refill for water bottles. Have you found one at this beach? I know you use the Berky.

It's about a 15-20 minute drive. The next town over has HEB, walmart.
