- I'm presently working in SBI (Since January 13, 2020).
I have an another UA-cam channel - Banker247 - Balachandra S Suryavanshi, where I upload videos in English/ Hindi.
This channel is for Kannada audience.
After being unable to qualify IBPS PO Pre - 2018 by 0.5 marks, I could re-work on my strategy and work hard & smart to score 27.5 marks above the IBPS PO Mains- 2019 cut off !.
Through this channel, I intend to help Banking/ Insurance exam aspirants who are working hard but unable to taste success.

Hi.. I belong to Kannada medium.
I used to consider myself not so strong in English earlier.
But gradually I improved my English by Reading/ Writing/ Speaking in English over the time.
Never stop reading some good English newspaper (I read "The Hindu").
Don't try to mug up grammar rules/ error detection etc.
Don't take English as a subject, try to use English as much as possible (Read/ Speak/ Listen & Write).
Avoid regional language while chatting on whatsapp/ telegram or wherever it is.
Watch some good quality English videos.
* Finally, giving mocks/ analyzing them/ learning from your mistakes/ not repeating the same mistake again - are very important.
Also know what, everyone will have at least one weak subject.
Example - I consider myself weak in Reasoning (Compared to others).
Just concentrate on your Strong subjects & score your maximum and meanwhile try to improve & score at least average marks in your weaker subject.

Hi. Sources which I followed are:
Videos - UA-cam videos of Banker's Adda (I loved Sumit sir's Apti/ Anchal Sharma mam's English & Akanksha Pandey mam's Reasoning (Puzzles) videos.).
Mock test - PRE - I used "feel free to learn" mock tests (I didn't use the "Difficult mock tests" from other websites.
Mains Mocks - I used "Smart keeda" mock tests - I liked their analysis part (you can judge yourself by giving the first mock test, which will be free).
* I relied completely on Mock tests once my basics were clear.
Regarding timing, it just depends on the quality of studies not the quantity (it can be 2-3 hours per day - if you are working & can be 7-8 hours - if you are free all day. Again, the quality will matter, people preparing for 2-3 hours can also surpass the ones preparing for 10-12 hours also!.
Clear your basics, practice Number series/ approximations/ Syllogism/ inequality etc (learn the best method available for each type of question & then you don't need to practice too many questions of the same type).
Write mock tests (1 or 2)/ atleast 10-15 Mocks before the PRE (Analysis part is very very important - spend atleast 1.5- 2 hours per mock).
For mains - I wrote 2 or 3 I guess.
For Mains - I dedicated almost all of my time on "General awareness" & "English". Bcoz you can't gain much over your competitors in Apti/ Reasoning.

Can you say about the gd and interview experience too
Hi. After clearing Pre & Mains they will be sure about your mental abilities.
In interview they would like to see your Confidence/ the way you talk/ your personality etc. what I mean to say is that they just want to see if they can see you performing duties as an "Officer". So don't worry about anything, just be yourself/ prepare Current affairs & Banking awareness.thats all.
In GD too, the above points will help.+ Here, they can additionally judge on how you talk/ communicate/ discuss with others.
Interviews/ GDs are rarely about knowledge, they are mainly to judge your Personality.

Hi. I'm selected in Corporation bank as a PO. I think Corp bank officials+HR depts are busy with merger process (with Union bank, along with Andhra bank), so we are yet to receive our joining letters.. Covid-19 is also affecting the joining/ training dates.
Also, if I think about a career in banking, I don't think any other bank than SBI can give good prospects.. also I'm unable to judge the future of Corporation bank - Merger/ Privatization etc.
So, even if I stay back in SBI as JA, I'll be eligible for promotion (equivalent to SBI PO) in a couple of years. So don't want to take any kind of risk by leaving SBI/ joining some other bank.
