one thing i absolutely hate in the sims 4 is how children and teens won’t do their homework unless you make them do it. in the sims 3 they would do it automatically! it’s a shame
Ever played the 4 toddler challenge? You start with a couple (or single sim) and create 4 toddlers, randomise the traits and build them a home. Simoleon cheats are allowed. Once you start playing, you don't intervene at all unless it's for something which the sims are incapable of automously doing (such as baking a cake for a birthday, adding candles etc). You can also buy items when required such as new beds when a toddler ages up (as again, sims are inacapable of doing that automously). The actual raising of the toddlers and general running of the house though, are left up to your sims. It's a fun challenge and good for figuring out a lot of the hidden mechanics of the game.
sims 3 will be difficult cos you can't get food without being given it or go to the toilet unless you've been potty trained all you can do is a toddler is play with toys

There’s a super speed mod that you can use to go the speed itdoes when everyone is asleep/working when you press 3x speed. You should try to see if you can survive that expert mode!
funnily enough, i play this way all the time. sort of - I do a sort of legacy challenge of my own where 1. all the sims and their traits etc are randomized... and 2. you can only control one sim at a time... when your sim has their first toddler, controls switches to that toddler until they have a toddler of their own. it's a challenge but super fun.
I used to make one adult and seven toddlers in the Sims 2 all the time and it was CHAOS, even in 1x speed and being able to control them all. God speed, Jesse.

Maybe giving both parents the ‘Hates children trait’ would give the Sims 3 trial a higher chance of being chaotic.
