Hi John, Thanks for the prayers, they are greatly appreciated. We have a chance for rain forecasted for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Glad to see y’all got some much needed rain. Piglets all look fat, healthy and happy. Y’all do a great job with your kune program. I must say one of the greatest blessings a man can have is a woman who works along beside him and keeps him strait. My life would be turned upside down and a train wreck without my sweet Melissa.
Really enjoyed the video, It's wonderful that you don't seem to have a Hawk problem. I always welcomed Crows and The Blue Jay's due to the fact that that they aren't afraid to attack Hawks and I've even seen them the Crows and the Blue Jay's gang up on the pesky things together and bring the chicken killer's right down to the ground, so keep that in mind when you see Crows and Blue Jay's.
I had leghorns when I was a child. You're right; they are good egg layers! I am planning on getting chickens again and am amazed at how many breeds there are! It's hard to choose because each has its own advantages!
Another viewer here in West Central Texas. Thanks for the prayers. We've got a month or two before our chickens start laying. Just got them out of the run and into my take on Justin Rhodes' chick-shaw.
Kunekune are great pigs, they don't get too large (Else risk Fat Blindness) and are fun to brush. The colors are great too. And for some reason our smell of maple. Love them.
My new leghorns started laying recently as well here in SW Washington. They sound off like they just laid a red-hot hand grenade, but they are already producing nice large eggs. My last little flock was Rhode Island Reds, so this time I was ready for a change. These girls should be good for between 280 and 320 eggs per year...we shall see....
Would you happen to know how many weeks it took your leghorns to start laying? I have a group of 16 and the hatchery I bought them from said 14 weeks and everything online says 16. Just wondering what your experience was.
One of our leghorns hens is in her laying spot all day. Shes moved around but hasn't left the nesting area. Is there anything we can do for her. She was in good shape yesterday. Has always been a great layer. Any suggestions would be tremendously appreciated.
@@KCFarms not sure but it could be possible. But when I went out to freshen up there water she was out in the run looking herself again. I guess I panicked. These leghorns are such great birds . Yes they love flying out of the run but they all fly back and forth multiple times during the day. Our chicken patrol dog 🐕 cha-cha in which is a 3 pound chawawwa keeps the coons and fox at bay with all the barking LoL. I greatly appreciate your help .. THANK YOU 😊
Are your true blues all white? They come many colors. How do you like their egg color, size and quantity? Are the true blues friendly and easy to handle? How are the roosters? In case you can't tell, I'm thinking about getting some. Do you ship eggs, BTW?

I love the piglets, the little feet too. It’s like each one has its own design.
Love your farm and animals.

Saludos desde México México, su granja es muy bonita. saludos

Sir may i know what kind of feeds you are giving to your free range leg horns?
Do you have roosters to make them lay eggs or just feeding?
Whats the advantage of giving the DNA of your livestock to a company and microchipping them?
It’s the only way to get them registered
They think the grass is greener on the other side
Awesome

It has been awhile but I want to say around 18 not sure if that was correct though
Good
How many chickens do you have on the farm?
It fluctuates but right around 100

New here. Why do you microchip the pigs? Is it the law in your area? I’m just thinking I wouldn’t want to accidentally ingest a chip. 😊
Welcome thanks for following along! No it’s not the law just a way to identify them for registration
The title of the video talks about chicken they spent 5 minutes talking about pigs 👎🏽👎🏽
Hwo to ablebal chicks
The first several minutes is not about white leghorns!!!!!!!!!!!!!
