- The ZL1 bumper is by far the best looking front end on the 5th Generation Camaro. Released in 2012 and left untouched through the 2014-2015 refresh, the bumper and hood combo are a mean looking setup. Today I start the journey in removing and swapping my Dad's 2012 Camaro 2SS's front end and bringing it to life with a ZL1 look with an official ZL1 bumper conversion.
To make this full kit work, I am using the Gen5DIY full OEM conversion kit for the 2010-2013 Camaro's. The 14-15's can also be done, but requires new lights and overall cost a crazy amount of money to accomplish.
But for the 2010-2013 you should be able to complete the full swap and be under $2,000 with paint and even install.

I have a question. I have a 2010 Camaro SS with a zl1 front bumper, but the hood doesn’t line up with the zl1 front bumper. Do you know what type of hoods will line up with the bumper?? Thank you in advance!!

I own a 2014 ZL1 and think anyone that wants the look of a ZL1 is alright in my book!

Hey so even if I just bought a 2016 front bumper for my 2014 gen 5 without getting the conversion kit just a random 6gen bumper could it really fit on my 5th gen ?

Their conversion is great. I just got mine in. Have not installed it yet. it’s taking a while to find the air ducks to the brakes and the fender liners. But they should be here soon. But maybe the lethal community can answer this question. Can I put the belly pan cover on without having a hood vent. Would that overheat the engine because it’s designed for venting through the hood and not under the car?
Your full underside will not be covered, plenty of breathing room.

Have you been to the track lately? With the chiller what are your IAT2 and MAT (manifold air temperature) readings while making a pass (highest temperature)? Thanks

Hi I own a 5 GEN 2012 Chevy Camaro Ls and I want to change pretty much everything but I don’t know what fits on it and what doesn’t I want to make the bumper different I want to change the lights it’s pretty much Stocked I would like to change out of saw the radio but I don’t know where to begin if you can give me some names of places that I can order from online and if you could let me know what fits and what doesn’t it would be highly appreciated thank you

You can use this kit and just order the ZL1 fender lining and I believe a wiring harness to get it to work
