I tried street foods in Delhi, was all good till I tried the Pana Puri, I was shitting for two weeks. Even Indians from the country are wary of water when going to Delhi, I discovered this after I returned!!
It's worth adding, that the other foods were fantastic and I saw the wierdest shop in an otherwise derelict building. No facade, the building looked derelict (but it was on a busy urban shopping street and I mean Delhi busy), tucked inside the building was a cake stand, so I had to check it out I have never seen a more immaculate set up in any shop anywhere the stand was immaculate and the shop assistant were dressed in pristine catering uniforms, the cakes themselves were not to be believed, they were fabulous, huge creamy things with amazing sponge.

This was epic , never expected someone from a food show would visit varanasi and explore it . And that holy dip in the final scene was something special and emotional for me. Thank you sonny
you are so blessed that you took a dip in holy ganga. Believe me, I visited Varanasi 2021 Aug for the first time, all I see is mess and untidy streets but here is the twist, I came to do last rites for my dad who passed away 2021 april, the moment priest made me do achamanam, (drink the ganga water - that time so much of ganga water got receded and there were motors every where pulling the water from the river and cleaning the ghats filled with big heaps of mud, I drank that water) thats where I came into reality, I started liking varanasi more than anything, everything you see is matter and the time I boarded flight back to bangalore, till date I wanted to visit Varanasi again and again and again, infact just feel like live my rest of life there on the shores of ganga. I get tears while I type this, as I am reliving my last year visit. Aum Namah Shivaay......

Exploring this side of India was not expected. Where most of the people will be scared to eat food fried from cow dung or take a dip in Holy Ganga, you did it all. You've every reason to be the No.1 and you are. Keep it up. Love your show.
I tried street foods in Delhi, was all good till I tried the Pana Puri, I was shitting for two weeks. Even Indians from the country are wary of water when going to Delhi, I discovered this after I returned!!
Id try it but im not saying its good lol
It's worth adding, that the other foods were fantastic and I saw the wierdest shop in an otherwise derelict building. No facade, the building looked derelict (but it was on a busy urban shopping street and I mean Delhi busy), tucked inside the building was a cake stand, so I had to check it out I have never seen a more immaculate set up in any shop anywhere the stand was immaculate and the shop assistant were dressed in pristine catering uniforms, the cakes themselves were not to be believed, they were fabulous, huge creamy things with amazing sponge.
@@warpoon Litti chokha in general is very tasty. It's flooded with Ghee generally and the Potato mixture goes great with it. But I think when it's cooked in Cow dung there will be smells? Not sure but I would be a bit scared to try it lol.

This was a rather pleasant video to watch. Aside from your injury, the ending was just great! To go against the grain and take your time to show what the world is missing. To watch you eat, engage and enjoy your way around the world is a joy to see. As an avid watcher of your content I can't wait to see more! 😁♥️
This is the only reason I love your channel soo much!! You treat everyone, every religion, every tribe and every food as your own, which I do not see. I really would appreciate if you come and visit India again, and now in the mountains of Darjeeling, Himachal, etc. you can find great authentic foods and some great rare tea for which India is famous
So, so sorry for your injury, Sonny. But thank you so much for taking us to such an amazing, unique place. Not a place that I would expect for a food review show but man, everything just worked perfectly on this one.
@Devyan Utsav Because we don't often hear of food reviewers visiting places of death then in the next breath talking about the food. I think it is an amazingly spiritual place and would love to visit some day.
That’s holy shit😂😂😂
This guy’s humor is the reason I don’t miss a video I hope u get well champ

Sonny you are a real gem of a person. Lots of love from India man. ❤❤❤
Best part of you is the way you blend in with every group of people without any inhibition or judgment and becoming a part of them. Let everyone develops that and world would be the best place for every reason.
I met a lovely family in Omkareshwar that made me dinner featuring the bread cooked directly on cow dung. It was delicious!!!
You're such a beast. Watching you in 2022 but realizing you started off as an overweight young blood teaching english in Korea is EVERYTHING! Gives me and my wife the motivation to keep pushing through the lows of trying to make it as youtubers.
"Ouu, I love nuts, especially these nuts." Sonny plays all day lol but i love all his content and sense of humor😂❤️
Thy holy water of Varanasi makes Sonny a New Person.... Well done man! 👍

I cried when you jumped into the river and laughed immediately the way you said..the holy river beat my..when you tripped..love from India Sonny..it's more of culture and the way you dived into the river hats off brother..💙
Amazing episode as always, when you visit India it feels really great. You just witnessed tip of a iceberg, you can spend each and every day of your life in India but still may not be able to taste each and every dish people eat here, that's the beauty of India 🇮🇳
I love your show! In the last month, I’ve watched practically everything on both channels. I love traveling, I love food. I really enjoyed watching Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern, but this show is “no. 1” in my opinion. It is true that I would not eat everything myself, but I would probably eat about 90%. Because I was interested in where your love of food and travel comes from, I googled you. I found out you were born on the same day as me hehehe. Keep it up, I’ll be happy to watch all the shows. Maybe we will meet somewhere and try something unique together.

100% love Sunny’s openness to dip in the holy river. Next time the River will be kinder to him 😂
Damn. Having lived there for over 4 years, I'm really happy seeing Sonny there.
you are so blessed that you took a dip in holy ganga.
The quick reflexes of the ppl were spot on. I wish you fast healing my brother Sonny 🙌🏾
Respect sonny you always try to adapt to new cultures made me shed a tear amazing just like people should be!!

This video has a cinematic quality. Floating through the streets as you describe what you are eating. A final wash in the Ganges. YOU ARE A BRAVE MAN!!!! I been to Varanasi. Hello BEFRS crew. If you guys are back in india, be sure to visit the northeast side of india. Its a whole different culture and there are a huge variety of non-veg options from pork to beef and exotic meat like snakes (At Manipur) to wild boar (Nagaland). If you go to Mizoram, plan to stay for Saturday (Market day) and Sunday (Church day with traditional clothings). Its an unforgotten part of India and i promise, you won't regret it
