My moisture spritz is aloe vera juice distilled water a lil bit of my oil mix with rosemary lavender peppermint eo. I use a plastic cap with a scarf to soak it into my braids. I try to do this 2x aday every other day. Dont forget the edges and kitchen ladies
@@oyinkansolawewe4281 Sorry to hear that. My scalp is very sensitive too. I can't use commercial shampoos. I make a tea rinse with black tea,Hibiscus, rosemary and lavender. Let it sit for 30 minutes then apply a deep conditioner. This has worked wonders for my daughtes hair. For a daily moisturizer aloe vera juice with rose water and a couple of drops of peppermint essential oils.
Just today, I saw a video where someone was using lavender water on her daughter's hair. I was going to look up how lavender is useful for the hair and you answered it. A true coincidence!
I use a DIY tea rinse that I absolutely love. I steep five different organic teas (lavender, sage, peppermint, bamboo, and green tea) in equal parts aloe vera juice and distilled water (about two cups each). I spray this mixture on my scalp after shampooing and leave it on under my deep conditioner. I also use it occasionally as part of my between shampoo moisturizing routine. I began using this mixture a couple of years ago and it worked beautifully to stop my excess shedding.
My stands are fine and are medium to high density. I’ve experienced thinning edges due to hormonal changes and this mixture and my DIY hair growth oil are helping with that. I’ll keep you posted. 😊
For my hydrator, I use a mixture of aloe vera powder (only when I don’t feel like picking a leaf), green tea, peppermint tea and hibiscus tea. It is so hydrating and I’m thinking about adding rosemary to stimulate my scalp. I’m currently rocking mini twist so this spritz is perfect.
My favorite thing to use to keep my scalp moisturized and keep the roots of my hair soft is to spray a mix of water, glycerin, aloe vera gel (Holika brand), and an essential oil, my favorite to use is peppermint oil. I keep it in a amber glass bottle, and every few days or so I shake it up until it’s really mixed up, and then I spray it lightly on my scalp and then I follow up with avocado oil and rub it into my scalp to seal the moisture in. I do this every few days, it keeps the dandruff away really well, and this makes my protective styles last longer because my scalp isn’t dry, itchy, or built up with products. I’ve been using this mixture for the last couple of months, and I’m three weeks in since my last wash day and I haven’t felt any sort of itching or dryness or seen any dandruff!
Our favorite hydration go to is the good ole' aloe vera juice! As a busy Momma, I simply purchase the gallon and refill our mist bottle when needed. You're the best! I've been using a purified rose water for the longest time and I didn't even realise it was acidic/same ph as hair. It's super cheap and smells gorgeous... I add a few drops of black pepper essential oil which mixes really well and I spritz my hair before applying a leave in conditioner which has murumuru butter, followed by a light spray oil which has soya bean oil and lastly my DIY mango butter concoction.
Thank you so much! As a child I had to bathe in oatmeal due to my eczema. I will defiantly try oatmilk. My spritz I currently use is green and black tea with cloves. I have included hibiscus at times. In the summer time, I swim a lot so I keep my hair in braids that I do myself. I don't add fake hair but I braid to keep it off my face, ears and neck.
My favorite hair spritz are herb tea spritz such as oregano, peppermint, chamomile and sage. I also like ayurvedic hair sprays for the summer such as fenugreek, moringa, hibiscus and aloe.
How do you use and or make your spritz? If you're making a tea as though you were drinking it but spray on it on your hair, does it make your hair dry?
Hi Tonya, my favorite spritz mix is hemp oil (100% does not clog pores!!!) rosemary, peppermint, lavender, tea tree, cedar wood, clary sage, pumpkin seed, eucalyptus, and coffee essential oils. My favorite ingredient for summer is Honey, it grabs all of that juicy moisture from summertime atmosphere and saturates it into the cuticles, I use Alikay honey & sage conditioner. Oh forgot, aloe Vera plant too!!!
@@keciadoleman6740 I use one of those super mini glass seasoning bowls like on the cooking shows and a table spoon of hemp seed oil, 10 drops of essential oils. I make just enough to last until wash day, 7-10 days. I have several small aloe Vera plants, so I’ll break off a piece and apply to scalp, I dip my fingers in mini bowl and oil my scalp every 2 days and massage. My scalp is SUPER sensitive due to CCCA. Oh I use thyme essential oil too but only 5 drops it’s powerful. You are right my bottle clogged too, I had to throw it away. Also hemp seed oil is not as oily & thick as the others. I spray my twists with filtered water every 2 days. I have 4c super high porosity, fine strands and medium density.

Thanks for this! I have learned so much from you. One thing, about the Quaker brand oats. They use glyphosate (poison) in high levels on their oat plants. Please use an organic brand.
You are 3000% correct about this! ✔️ Those of us who are very discerning about food and ingredients have known this for a very long time. Thanks for sharing this helpful info. 🙌🏾 Because if you add oat milk using Quaker Oats to your other spritz ingredients, it will taint them and render them ineffective. What's the point? I personally won't be adding oat milk to any of my spritz combos. Even tho my oats are organic, I will use it alone.
Always love your tips, thank you! I use Aloe Vera/Water 1-2x a week and Clove Water 1-2x a week for my dry 4c. I was surprised you didn't mention Clove Water. Would you recommend it?

The next morning I stranded it and put it into spray bottle and I keep it in my closet which is dark and cold the small is wonderful and I’ve been using it every other day .
My moisture spritz is a tea made with hibiscus, rosemary and clove. I use it mid week to refresh my scalp and curls….the L in the LCO method. I also use this as my last wash day step…a rinse that I leave in. My hair absolutely adores it!

Finally a video I can I can actually watch until the end!! And that "Oh! Oatmilk "! I saw the light bulb above your head! 🤣💪🏽💯
Glad I found you again. Girl I saw some of your videos and made a list and bought some items my hair has grown and retained length and has better definition my scalp is flourishing I don't have to wash it every 3 days I have seborrheic dermatitis which I treat with sulfur 8 and argan oil. I just wanted to thank you for your videos and advice keep it up
Should hibiscus water be rinsed out of the hair or as a leave in? 🤔
Another great informative and detailed video My water mix contain most of those herbs and more: (Lavender herb, Hibiscus flowers, Rosemary herb, Horsetail herb, Glycerin, Peppermint tea bag, Green tea bag, Clove, Cinnamon stick, Fenugreek Seed, Aloe Vera Juice), I apply if on my scalp and the length of my hair, and my hair love it
Great video as usual!☺ TFS! DIY hair spritz-Infusium 23 liquid leave-in, MSM powder, whatever essential oils I feel like throwing in there usually pick 2-3 oils with 3-7 drops of each, and water.
I like using fenugreek and clove water on my hair as a spritz and I tend to add glycerin into the mix😊
I’ve been hearing a lot about cloves lately!
@@CurlyChemistry I think they are really good! I think they soften the hair and add shine as well just like hibiscus water does.
Hi Tamara, how do you prevent the fenugreek water from smelling aweful?
@@tamaramanley1656 how do you make hibiscus water? How often do you use it? Have you tried rice water?
Aloe & rose water mixed with my liquid leave in moisturizer mmyah 🥰
I sometimes use lavender water. I also use SHO Hair System refresh/reactivate spray, it's literally water but better to me. Also All Things O'Natural hair/scalp mist and hydratherma NATURALS follicle most. I don't mix like I use to.. 😊 Good information! ♥️😊🙋🏾♀️
Do you leave the lavender water in or rinse it out? I want to try it?
@@latanyachinarhodes9399 I leave it in.
@@Silkyslim48 ok thank you. Gonna spray it on before I put my leave in on. Just ordered the lavender from Amazon.
Thanks a lot Beauty. Lots of live from Mozambique 😍
Wow, I just made some lavender water last week.
Right on time!! ☺️
how do you make the lavender water? do you keep the fresh lavender in the water or take them out after so many hours?
I purchase the edible lavender at the health food store. I did two tablespoons lavender and 1 1/2 cups of spring water over night . The next morning I stranded it and put it into spray bottle and I keep it in my closet which is dark and cold the small is wonderful and I’ve been using it every other day .
@@vivahabbitvanassen thank you
@@pamelawalker9056 hope you like it .
My moisture spritz is a tea made with hibiscus, rosemary and clove. I use it mid week to refresh my scalp and curls….the L in the LCO method. I also use this as my last wash day step…a rinse that I leave in. My hair absolutely adores it!
What about the red colour from the hibiscus?
How do you remove the colour if you're not washing it?
@@andreaozuem5206 it doesn’t stain my hair or transfer to my clothes once it dries. My hair is a very dark brown though.
Good morning. I have watched a few of your videos, which are great. But I see a lack of attention given to fine coily hair naturals. Could you start giving hair care info to us ( Fine coily ) natural beauties. Thank you
Clove, nettle and catnip spritz ❤❤ and pure glycerin
Oooo I like this!
@@CurlyChemistry ❤️❤️
Hi Tonya my moisture mix is onion leave in conditioner with water. My summer fav is olive oil applied generously. Love you you're wonderful love your informative videos
Your great videos are under 10 minutes- God bless you ❤
Facts. I've been washing face with ground oatmeal for years. It's the best thing for my sensitive acne prone skin. Now I'm finna strain it and spray it 🤗
Your skin still looks amazing! Can you please do a skin care video on what products you are currently using? I just turned 30 and unfortunately, I still occasionally struggle with hyperpigmentation and my laugh lines are starting to become more prominent. I swear hyperpigmentation is a black girl’s worst enemy child 🤦♀️...lol! Anyways, I’m a long time subscriber of yours. I actually think you set the trend for using black soap for hyperpigmentation back in the day here on UA-cam. Do you still use it now? Girl I need your help!!
Hello ladies. I use aloe Vera gel, rosewater, distilled water with rosemary oil mixed together in a spritzer bottle I use it on my sister locks

You're welcome 🌸
With your help I'm able to achieve the soft moisturized curls I'm loving.. Enjoy your weekend
Thank you for this info! I've been juice AVJ but I want to try the oat milk.
And love your energy this video ❤️
I mix aloe Vera juice in green tea. I am going to switch with that and hibiscus water now
Cyndoll out here telling folks aloe is a protein and we shouldn’t use it as a moisturizer and that we have been warned and gone be bald headed. But my hair and my daughter’s hair is thriving. Is aloe a protein really? I love me some aloe in my hair. 😢
My favorite mostiure mix is 80% water and 20% of TGIN Daily Mosturizing Creme.
Love it! ☺️
Im trying a combination of rosemary and clover tea with aloe Vera juice to see how it works
i enjoy using fenugreek water. soak seeds and drain. if it's the powder, seep in hot water, let settle, then strain. so much slip and moisture. need to get back to the aloe water.
I would like for my hair to feel manageable not dry, or frizziness
Thank you for your wonderful information.
You’re welcome Stephanie! ☺️
Hey doll, my spritz mix is aloe Vera juice with lavender, basil oil and lemon grass. Love it! And my summer hair care is deep condition every wash day and wash and gos
Hi, I have watch 3 of ur videos so far and I'm loving the info & u make it easy to understand. Just wanted to share that u are saying Aloe is acidic, but it's alkaline. I know it's probably just an mistake, but to share so u r aware. Be blessed & continue teaching us, ur good at it! 👏👏
Curry leaves, cloves rosemary ginger, and fenugreek, that's my daily sprits, do you think it's to much
Thank you for the awesome info.😁
You’re so welcome! 💜
Love lavender oil, it gets used in my hair teas for wash day
During the week, I literally use shop bought rose water as a moisturiser, then on wash days I’ll make either aloe vera or fenugreek teas with safflower or olive oil and apple cider vinegar for rinses after shampooing and after rinsing out the deep conditioner
I just been using lemon and hibiscus....thats it. No leave ins, no conditioner no grease , no gel thats it.. my hair literary is the most soft its been in it life! Not greasy just softness and not frizz
Happy Friday! I enjoy watching your video’s the knowledge you provide everyone is amazing. Thank you for sharing 🥰
Thank you Ginger! ☺️
love your videos! thanks for the information!
Thank you!
I love using lavender water on my hair! I use it on my face and hair! I like using it more than my rose water!
Lavender is amazing!!
I have some dried hibiscus flowers so I’ll be trying hat soon
Great video but I would not use oatmilk though, it gave me protein overload. As a mask (oatmeal porridge blended and strained) it is the BOMB !
