SIX MINUTES? so much compact information, this is peak. at first i though "hes just gonna talk about the basics" then the video ended and i feel like i got a diploma in venom.
I absolutely love that Venom's idea of being a tank for his team is just going into the enemy backline and messing them up before they can even get to his team. Truly reminiscent of his title as the 'Lethal Protector'! Fantastic guide btw, fits everything about Venom into 6 minutes!
It's so rare to find videos that get straight to the point like this. Most would use up the first minute outlining every single thing in the video and then take 1 minute or two to explain.
I need this badly. Venom as of right now is the only character I play. He's been my favourite Marvel character since I was four. To see not only him but every character in this game be so comic accurate is love for both the fans and the devs. I suck at this game but I'm hoping this will give me some help. Thanks for the video.
Honestly this was one of the most informed guides on a subject ive seen in a while. I see now that ive been playing venom wrong and now i have a better chance wt fixing my mistakes early on before the nerfs/buffs come in patches. I was wondering why my tethers werent looking like they did in the demonstration. Thanks for the headscup
I recently got Marvel Rivals. I always assumed that if I just jumped in and had steady aim, I would be alright. However, this video has shown me to be more thoughtful with Venom. I appreciate the help!
I’m sure this guide took a lot of work, but I wanted to let you know that this is an amazing video. You’re going to be my go to creator for marvel rivals content and guides.
Before watching this video my combo was: swing, dive, grab and attack. After watching it made me happy to know I was doing something right. The tips I took from this video is web-zip, disable “easy-web,group grab and wall-climb more. Thanks😁
That was an amazing video. Thank you so much for all the tips. Now you made more impatient. I can’t wait to play the game again. Btw venom’s left click can be spammed because it has no cooldown or ammo so I just hold it nonstop when I’m fighting people.
Legit came into this video thinking it was gonna be fun of clout and stuff everyone knows at this point, but this video was extremely helpful for getting better ay Venom.
Usually I'm more of a quiet subscriber and don’t comment a lot But I just had to tell you how good and clean this video is! So much valuable knowledge and information but all of it straight to the point Great video, keep it up man - can’t wait for the next one! Much love, looking forward to seeing your channel grow bc u very much deserve it!
Thank you for this video! I love playing vemon because of the feeling i get when i kill flyers with him, but ive felt like ive been missing something- this video fixed that for me. Thank you!
I was very curious to watch this one after my comment on the announcement (thank you for replying btw). It's really peak content describing a lot of nuances of the gameplay! Sub and like for sure! I climbed with Venom during CBT since it gives you the capability to provide so much value even solo independently of how good your dps or supports are (up to a certain level). If I may make any suggestions for future content based on my thought process is that people have particular phases of the game, when they don't know what to do optimally, taking Venom as an example: - What to do when the map starts (before the 1st fight)? - Use your insane mobility to get a high ground position, where the 1st fight will happen. Wait for the teams, start your rotation with a slam from high ground. - What to do when disengaged and waiting for your cds? - Frontline for your team or peel the dive from the healers before you can engage again, keep doing damage. - What to do between the fights? - Venom can provide insane value due to his massive shield even solo, engage/disengage even before teams meet each other. You win a lot of space (timer seconds) this way keeping the enemy team busy even without a real fight. You don't want to kill, you want to win time in this circumstance. You can pull it off without heals, when done properly. And another small note is about matchups: - Who to look out for on the enemy team? - Be careful around buffed (by Raccoon team-up) Punisher, shotgun can shred you. Luna Snow/Mantis CC in the middle of enemy team. Good awakened Thor kills your shield really quickly and can disrupt your disengage. - How to diff enemy Venom? - Let him engage, stay with your team, peel, do damage. Once he disengages just swing after him and finish him off. Now you wait for your slam and can disrupt his team, while nobody is bothering yours. And the most important: don't die on Venom while keeping your rotation consistent, you will climb in no time.
Honestly this lived up to the hype you gave it last video. Your vids have always been good, to the point where when I first found your channel I thought you were an official account, but this is even better
I feel like I am watching UA-cam PREMIUM this is such high-level content I love the visuals and how straightforward it is, I've always loved ur videos but this is a new level please keep making these I would love a video on either Captain America or Black Panther!
so my playstation was broken and i got a new one and i have vanted to play marvel rivals for a long time, tommorow i will be getting my new playstation and im gonna install marvel rivals as soon as possible and from videos i think my main is gonna be venom, and now that i have watched this i wanna main venom even more, thank you, thos video really helped and i think i will be a pretty good venom after watching this.
This was fantastic! Great job. I would love to see more on Doctor. Strange since he was my preferred character in the playtest. This also really helped me understand venom's playstyle since this is the first game like this I have played.
Yessire thats what I'm talking about my guy 👏 great job man this is really good insight and tips and that UI is super clean. Keep up the awesome work 👍. Adam Warlock when?
Great vid filled with solid information. The thing about Rivals is it's hard to choose just one. I can't wait to watch them all and get to play them all.
Thank you! Really really really hoping Antivenom gets in -- I actually have the book that your profile picture is the cover of (Anti-Venom: New Ways To Die)
@@MarvelRivalsGuides The first time I saw Antivenom was in Ultimate Spider-Man when Carnage was taking over New York. Also this one scene when Antivenom was screaming THE INFACTION!!! Bro ran towards agent venom like the police guy from Cloudy with a chance of meatballs.
This was a great video and for only being 6 minutes. I’ve gotten pretty good with him but I learned new info from this like. I’ll have to try turning off the swinging thing
A really nice DPS tip for Venom is to rebind his tether to something like R and then have your melee be right click. By doing some personnel testing, a Venom can headshot kill a Groot with his left click ranged tendril attack in around 7.5 seconds. BUT if you tendril, you can get a free melee off as soon as the 4th tentacle comes out. By doing a tendril melee combo, you output much higher DPS and can kill a Groot from 7.5 seconds and reduce it to about 5 seconds. So you get about 33% more DPS that way. As for other damages, his tether deals around 80 damage if it explodes because people can't get away from you in time. So if people start to scatter, target a squishy or a healer to try and finish them off. His ultimate does percentage based damage on your current health so his ultimate will likely never kill. His ult deals anywhere to 70% to 50% of a target's current health. 50% to tanks and 70% to non tanks at full health if the tank's health is 800 and the non-tank's health is 250. Venom will also get a shield directly based on the amount of damage his ultimate did. So if you have the choice between 1 full health tank or 2 full health non-tanks, using Venom's ult on the tank will give you about 100 shield more.
I really love your videos man. Been here since the first, and I can't wait to see more content when the game fully comes out. Love this game, and your chancel. Can't wait till you can do a "What can Cap reflect" video. Becasue I really need to know if he can block a SW ult.
Great video my guy, insightful and efficient! Only pointer I can think of is maybe adding in what heroes they'd synergise well with, but I understand this may become outdated as new heroes release
I literally JUST started playing this game tonight with my best friend and I KILLED IT as Venom, it took me 1 game of getting crapped on and then I said OK I need a tutorial and a lil bit of knowledge for what each attack does so I went into practice for punisher(the tutorial) learned that there is NO DODGE SPECIFICALLY! Like there’s no roll away like dark souls. As soon as I learned that I looked at the abilities and looked at what they actually did and I figured almost all this out instantly and we won the next 2 games. Venom is strong but I was using the combo ranged, then swing plunge melee them twice and if that didn’t kill ‘em I’d do the grapple with the multiple people ranged ranged ranged. But now I see that this could be another useful combo, not using the swing until I have to escape. I was using the swing as a way to come in do a bunch of damage and then swing away for a moment and while I’m still swinging do the plunge attack from behind and ranged. But I will def be trying climbing up the walls first.
Please do magneto!. I just started playing 3 days ago and he is my absolute favorite! Decent damage, sheilds, aoe, and a pretty dang decent ult. Bell notification is on!
Something to add, Venom struggles a bit to hit smaller targets at close range with tendrils, but with the right stick u can do close range arm swings that make it so much easier
This guide is really good! I thought I knew a good bit about Venom, but now I know even more! Can't wait to play him again and try these strats out on Dec 6!
Love this video!! It's bringing back old school overwatch for me. I'd love to see Thor or Magneto. I feel like they would be my mains, but I want to make sure 😁
3:25 Back when he was not released on Marvel Super War I suggested a skillset for him, and one of the skills I suggested was to set a trap where you fade into the wall and activates when you see an enemy passing. I guess the things I imagined were meant for a hero shooter all along, instead of a MOBA. BUT... I'd really like a mode with towers and minions inside this game, something like SMITE.
Excellent video. I think it’s important to add that web zip only works consistently when your target is below you. Drove me crazy trying to figure out how this worked.
Fantastic guide, unfortunate timing. I would've waited for the game to be released to the public, so people could actually but your amazing information into practice. I hope this pops off when the game comes out!
