I found a 1911 magazine add for your wrench. Foote Manufacturing Dayton Ohio. They also made a version with a monkey wrench in place of the alligator wrench.
I have a ever ready hand tool. Alligator wrench on each end and three holes in the middle for tapping threads. Only ever ready tool I have seen till today. 😊
Love the ingenuity that went into that. I can picture one in the farm pick up. One on the tractor maybe. One of those tools that might keep you from going to the shop or barn to get a tool box. Nice job as usual John!
Awesome job my friend that turned out stellar looks as good as the day it was new probably better very versatile and useful tool even in today's world the first I've seen thanks for sharing my friend
MagDad found a 1911 ad, I found a 1909 Popular Mechanics ad so I guess we can assume they were made for at least 3 years. 1909, 1910, 1911.........Looked but not finding too much info about the Foote Manufacturing Co. Beyond the version they made with the Adjustable Wrench end instead of the Alligator they did make a Gas Heated Clothing Iron (Sounds Dangerous). Anyhow Great Job on the Restoration, I love that they refer to it as a Toolkit.
Fantastic Mr. John! That's a cool tool. I'm glad you gave this one the bluing treatment..It was calling for it. The bare metal looked awesome too but that bluing makes it pop!
I counted seven functions: Hammer, Hatchet, outer pliers, wire cutter, inner pliers, alligator wrench & screwdriver. A very interesting tool! Great find! Though it is missing an ice pick! 👍😁😎
Thats a back forty tool if i have ever saw one! Rascal has everything to get ya out of a jam and it looks fantastic now! Great jib as always and that little ine stole the show...thats a great piece Mr. John!!!
