- (#KWTX) - The Miller family in Temple said they’re grateful that their quick thinking allowed them to be here to share their story.
The Miller family said they escaped within seconds of the destructive tornado on May 22, leaving major damage behind.
Joseph Miller says they’re all doing alright, but their small children, ages 4, 3 and 1, are still traumatized from the storm.

That was some quick thinking, especially when seconds matter. Glad the whole family is safe.
Praise Jesus!
amen, there were guardian angels all around them babies
Quick thinking.
That is an absolute miracle!!
Wow, glad they were ok and Roscoe too :)
That man and his family ❤❤❤
Praise God they are all okay! 🙌💯
Homeowner's insurance will pay for food and lodging while their claim is handled. Most don't know this and insurance companies usually don't offer it but it's in your policy.
That’s great that u no that n shared it👍!! I THINK WERE all sick of being Taken advantage of from these companies. Ya pay n pay for everything n then when it’s time to collect u get the run around ! God bless take care
And will pay for food lost in their home. I think ours will replace up to $600. So true, most people don’t even think about these benefits from their insurance companies.
Take care of your wounds. Prayers for everyone.
We need to rethink how Homes are Built, every home should have a Storm Shelter or Panic Room
Much love to Temple. Grew up going to visit my Grandparents there.
“Out the high chair”. Lol.
Thank God everyone is ok!
House is still standing, duck and cover is pretty much the thing to do in any tornado.
jcmjcm1945...
You sure have a positive outlook on life. My lord with all the freaky weather we have been having, they did the best they knew to do, AND WERE SUCCESSFUL!!
He wasn't asking for sympathy, he was greatful they were alive.
Go for a walk today and praise God that your not in that situation.
Good man! Your family is proud of you for sure! All is well that ends well verdad?
Prayers
Good man
Help your neighbors anywhere...don't always just have to donate. It helps, but there are people who are too shy for TV...just love your neighbor like Jesus taught.
Houses aren't built like they use be.
That house isn't a complete loss. Replace the windows. Repair the siding. Re-shingle the roof. The structure looks sound. It must have been or it would have fallen down. Why do people have to be so dramatic when they could just replace or repair it. Senseless.
He hid under a car? Might as well have hid under sheets
Modern homes are really poorLy made and sold for a mega market up.
People help people in a disaster until the food runs out.
If they built them to withstand a tornado no one could afford one. Tornado shelters can be purchased and installed which is way more cost effective.
I'm 62 years old live in Tornado alley and I have never needed a tornado shelter. It is super rare to be killed or have your house destroyed by a tornado, its like being in a plane crash its that un common. Yes it happens and its bad when it does but over 90% of people or more will never be in a tornado. Food for thought.
@@jstar1000 low risk but high impact
@@jstar1000 yes but modern homes are cheap garbage which does not help. Hurricane struts cost minimal if installed on the build. As an example
@@HuplesCat Hurricane struts or straps? Never heard of a strut. Those wont really do much with a direct hit TBH. They will help a close miss or small lower wind tornado but a direct hit with a Cat 3 or 4, not a chance in hell. Say what you want but a direct hit from one of those not much will withstand it but a massive steel enclosure buried partially in the ground could. Really the only place to survive is under ground which would be the most cost effective way which most people who live in high risk areas like Oklahoma, that is what they do, they buy and install a tornado shelter under ground they don't try to build a house that will withstand it. Modern houses are built fine for most storms and pretty much better then they ever have been built regardless to what you think. I've been a licensed home inspector for over 20 years so I have some inside knowledge. Way back the lumber was stronger and better but they still built them pretty crappy compared to how they build them now. Go look at old houses with saggy roofs and ceilings, I see them all the time. Its because the building codes were almost non existent.
You should believe the tornado alarms in your area!
Hope GMC steps up great free advertising at that price every station would be carring this story along with internet. Go get'm boys.
Why send people to your website to help them with donations?? Why not just tell people where to go directly??
Why you always questioning?
Thinking not god
If you think "wisdom" can save you you're absolutely right!
For it was God who gave men wisdom.
@@lastharvestPDR You said for it was God who gave wisdom. However there is so many supposed gods. That I'm quite sure you don't have the wisdom to know which God you're speaking of
@@NolocoLawrence
There's only God the rest of the so-called gods are actually demons (same as the one that appeared in Las Vegas posing as aliens)
My page is filled with prophecies i've received from "God". Including the tornadoes you are currently seeing.
@@NolocoLawrence YHWH, The Creator
So his wife and babies are inside and he's hiding under a car? Did he not think that his wife could use help protecting their children?
You really need to watch the video and comprehend basic information
Did you actually watch the video? He was on his way from work and the tornado was directly in front of him! Do you expect him to fight the tornado lol I’m pretty sure his wife and kids would prefer him to be alive!
Dude are you fkin r3tard3d? He JUST SAID he didn't have a chance to react to it. You donuted half slack balloon! Pay the fuck attention
Wow... cant believe the denseness of some people who have the ability to vote and drive in America. F-ing unbelievable. Commenter didn't even watch the story but has everything to say....acting as if the man does not love his family apparently he does. Him and his wife did what was necessary to survive - with the situation and limited time before the tornado hit.
Are we suppose to feel sympathy? They got insurance and they had the brains to move out of the alley but didnt . All these insurance claims lead to others insurance who have nothing to do with it going up and have the smarts not to live in a hurricane or tornado or other natural disaster areas. People need to start paying even higher insurance or make a tornado proof home if you want to live in these areas.
What area? They're all over the states now- unless you want an earthquake or a hurricane, maybe blizzards every winter!
@sandyjuntunen4088 you more an idiot then most. And lived in our state we have had non of the following
Tornados hurricane earthquake flooding NONE. So no we are at a point where we think ahead and see where these issues are more prone and take account no thxs and be safe. But hey if your comment is what you beleieve you go for it. As for allot of people we choose not to live on the coast hurricane in earthquake prone or tornado or flooding or wildfire prone areas .If you can't research then well..... Peace out.
lol..If you refuse to live in a place without tornados, wildfire, hurricanes, flood or earthquakes it doesn’t leave much land left.
@@Independent7274 you'd be surprised there's lots of states
@@jcmjcm1945 not many with no chance of natural disasters.
