Wow... I am at a loss for words. This video is so good that it absolutely destroys every mapping video out there on the 1939 Invasion of Poland. Every single thing about this is superb. Your map is incredibly detailed, showing cities, lakes, AND topography! You have zoomed in views of Danzig and the Hel Peninsula. You show the transfer of the Wilno/Vilnius area to Lithuania. You showed the areas of operation of the Polish Underground State. You have the combat deaths, the official name of each combatant nation in both English and their native language. You showed details that I missed, such as the correct date for each integration of Polish territory into the German Reich (first Danzig, then West Prussia/Polish Corridor, and finally Poznan/Posen), as well as how the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact originally called for the territory between the Vistula and Bug Rivers (around Lublin) to go to the Soviets (in exchange for which the Germans would get Lithuania), and how that was changed towards the end of the Polish Campaign. That is not even mentioning how amazingly detailed the frontlines/encirclements are, and how you did this EVERY HOUR! After this... ANY DOUBT AT ALL that you are the best historical mapper has been obliterated. Every single video you find another way to massively increase the quality, and you did it again. The fact that you only have 5k subscribers is absurd. You are one of the most underrated channels that I have ever seen, and you deserve so much more views and subscribers for the time, effort, and quality that you put into your work. Keep it up man and I am really looking forward to more videos like this in the future. Sorry for the rant, but I was just blown away by how good this was (also the music was great, as well as the info at the beginning and end of the video)

Yes, France had bigger support than Poland but:
      1) When Poland was attacked by Wehrmacht, 20 German division have to stay in west, on zygrfyd line. Later Germany pushed more division on west. When Germany attacked France, there are not second front.
      2) France have to defense borders with Italy and Spain
      3) Allied armies were a joke. Bellgian's and Dutch's armies were weak, BKE was small, and Great Britan evacuated them fastly.

@@Hermann3635 After invasion Slovaks pursued a policy of denationalization of Poles in the occupied areas. They did everything to destroy any Polish traces in occupied land. Slovaks knew that Poles hid Polish language service books in their homes, but they also knew that when they would call to gather them, Poles would not give them up. They resorted to such a catwalk that they announced the collection of these books for Polish soldiers in captivity. When they tricked them, they destroyed them all. It is shocking because it was a state headed by a priest, Fr. Tis. Polish priests, teachers, activists were caught by Slovaks and handed over to the Gestapo. The Polish language was to disappear completely in occupied territory. "Polish and Slovak people lived normal during WW2", "Slovak did not be brutal to civilians people". Oh yeah. I shouldn't have expected any different answer from a citizen of a nation raised in victim mentality, which national consciousness arose barely 150 years ago. You have so little actual national history, that you had to steal legacy of Ruthernians of Kievian Rus and Cossacs of Zaporoze, and even after that you still name your squares and streets after XX century murderers of women and children, who interchangeably genocided Poles and made Jewish pogroms left and right, calling it "fight for free Ukraine".
Well. At least history punishes you now. Poland, Russia and even Belarus may not be the richest of countries, but Ukrainian GDP per capita is a fraction of either of those.
You can blame others on your country being a poorhole of Europe. You can also grow up, educate yourself and do something about it. Whatever flows your boat. Peace.

The Polish Forces also fought at Tobruk and in the North African campaign. They also fought to liberate France, Belgium, Holland, and captured the German port city of Wilhelmshave (1944 - 1945). From 1942 the First and Second Polish Armies fought alongside their supposed ally the USSR all the way to Berlin and Dresden. There was in addition to the Polish Army fighting abroad a Polish Airforce and Polish Navy. The Poles also had a large underground which the German occupiers could not destroy.

When General Zyymunt Berling (a Calvinistic Pole of Swedish descent who like General Anders was amongst a few others that escaped the 1940 Katyn Massacre) was sacked as the Polish supreme commander for trying to send his Polish troops to help the Polish insurgents during the 63 day Warsaw Uprising they replaced him with the incompetent General Karol Świerczewski. During the Battle of Bautzen Świerczewski.was hell-bent on taking Dresden instead of securing his southern flank as Soviet General Konev instructed him to, and that cost him the unnecessarily high rate of casualties. But nonetheless the Polish Second Army and the Soviet forces finally repelled the German attack and then launched an offensive towards Prague.
