This gives me major nostalgia to when we used to go to the DVD/rental store on Friday night to pick out cool movies to watch over the weekend with family and friends. Times were so much simpler back then!

I remember going to a blockbuster with my dad on the last day they were going to be opened and got nearly a full rack of movies for like $10 and they even let us take the rack (they were gonna throw it out anyways)
I strongly believe if every employee at Blockbuster Video talked like fredsvoice we would still have those stores around today

Nope. The entire business model was focused around the ridiculous late fees. Once online streaming became a thing, blockbuster was irrelevant to the majority of the country. Hell, even when Netflix was predominantly doing the mail-in rentals, you kept the discs as long as you want.

It's true as well, I bought two films on the PlayStation store and one day I just couldn't access them. I also have a large collection of physical films, I can always watch.
Not true. Movie piracy is a thing. Movies you pirate you keep forever same as if you bought a dvd and it’s digital

Idk if your audience would be down for this type of video but I’d love to see your entire movie collection that you own on Blu-Ray/DVD.
Last i checked the video rental store i went to as a child was still running somehow. They'd diversified their services significantly, but they still had the video rental part running on one side of it. Was real nostalgic.
What else do they do on top of video rental?

It wasn’t a blockbuster but a local dvd rent store that gave me my childhood with all kinds of movies, video games ps2, and they even sold microwaveable popcorn. They’ve since shut down last year and it made me sad. Loved renting movies for 2 dollars.

When I used to work at blockbuster (rip) my favorite part was talking to customers about movies and suggesting films! We had a thick reference book for all movies and actors at the time, too! Ahh nostalgia 🥲

This is massive nostaglgia for me. Even though i'm not as old as some people, who say the same thing, i always prefered to buy DVDs than watching a movie on any media outlet. Also the video is super relaxing, which is to be expected from Fred of course.

I am glad you are educating people on the perks of physical media. Movies like Dogma are lost to time due to rights issues. Disney has edited some of their films. Lucas has changed Star Wars soooooo many times. Physical media is so important.
