If you come vaishno devi katra, jammu it took almost 6-7 hrs to reach the temple and the same to come back. And I think you are really doing workout sincerely
My husband and I , 71 and 66 years old, completed the trek to Tiger's Nest back in February. I don't feel so bad about all the huffing and puffing I did along the way after I saw you huffing and puffing also.🙂 With a stop for tea going and a lunch stop returning it took us 8 hours. We rented walking sticks before starting our trek and they were a saving grace for the steep trek coming back down. Our guide was so helpful and patient considering the number of rest stops we made. It is a trek that we will never forget. Words and pictures are not able to capture the true beauty and history of Tiger's Nest. It is definitely a must do when visiting Bhutan. We really enjoyed your video. It brought back so many memories of our visit to Bhutan.
@@Davidsbeenhere I'm in Belgrade. The Balkans seems like one of the better places to be right now with relatively low coronavirus cases. Just be prepared for some criticism, people are being pretty harsh about traveling now.
Tiger's nest is the perfect trek for a good mushroom datchi and rice meal. It took around 2 hours for us to reach the temple. But the journey was sooooo beautiful! 😍
I could literally feel you David, the way you started panting just after 20 mins of hiking. Tiger's Nest is one of the toughest to reach but also the best. It's tougher to reach at the peak than coming down back. That's way easier. We took almost 7 hours in total. I guess you took somewhat like that as well! Lol! Your videos are literally making me relive the moments of my visit in Bhutan. Keep going ✌️
Everywhere is worth to stop over. From the roads, trees, structures, food, culture of the people are amazing. This video satisfies me plus the knowledge and information from a good colleague. We're following your footsteps. Take care David 💕
I knew you were in Bhutan, but I've waited to see your Tiger Nest hike video, somehow i Skipped it earlier, but better late than never, this is the place i tell anyone from anywhere to visit at least once, this place is HEAVEN ON EARTH. period
Oh David! I’m gonna miss watching your videos made in Bhutan. I watched every episode and love the way you ate ezay and chilli with cheese. I hope you had a great stay. 🙏🏽
David is the only few Americans who pushes the limits if you consider him as a tourist, rest of the others who visit the everest have prior trekking experience
Bro...nice to see you that you've made it. I did it in November 2018 after I gone through an angiography on May 2018 for a heart condition. Thanks for refreshing the memories. Love to you 😍😍
are you still in Bhutan? if you are I would like to recommend you to try chilli and cheese Momo in Thimphu coffee culture, I'm pretty sure you will like it :)
My story: A little bit after I and my buddy started, we saw a unit of Maratha Regiment soldiers from the Indian Army coming down and asked them how much more to climb. They said it was easy, but I did not understand that it was easy for them, not for me. I huffed puffed and panted midway through. A bunch of Bhutanese girls had a few laughs at my misery, but were sympathetic to give me some apple juice. Steepness of the climb got me. But I was able to reach the top. I also saw a tired red faced chubby kid with his sister egging him to go on. We met a middle-aged couple who were trying to make the climb, and I took their pictures with my DSLR with the promise of sharing those with them (which I did). While coming down, I volunteered for cleaning up trash at the top and brought it down in bags. All in all, good fun.
Hey David! It was exciting and great watching you climb that mountain pretty fast :) But you forgot to mention how much did your breakfast and rice combo cost you.... It's very important for viewers like me :) Good luck and be safe
@@AnalyseThiswithIO West Bengal is like a neighboring state and entry to Bhutan by road is possible only thru Bengal. Also, Bengali as a community travels a lot, so I am not surpised that few hotels are operated by Bengalis.
It's amazing video thanks a lot you should go to Sardinia to try Sardinian's dumplings made of mashed potatoes and cheese. I've been brought there but born in Meghalaya 🙂🙂🙂😪
Dude, nobody eats that much Chilly paste/chutney even in the subcontinent. That Chilly Sauce is just optional, not the main course that you have to eat fully.
Yes. They eat pork and chicken. They do not kill animals but import chicken and meat from neighboring Indian states. This is why they accept Indian currency readily since it helps in trade. Indian Rupee is directly pegged (1:1 ratio) to ngultram, the Bhutanese currency. Fun fact: They watch Indian tv channels and the kids have learned to speak Hindi.

David one this is clear for sure that you had some really early morning experience before this video. First time avoiding chillies hahahaha..
Beautiful
You should have gone to Dechenphodrang
Interesting observation - David, the mask you bought in Paro is wrapped in a Bengali newspaper.
The hotel I stayed in Paro near the Tiger's nest was operated by a Bengali gentleman, and he told us that quite of few Bengali people work there.

It took David more than 10 years to reach at this level. Try to be patient and work harder. Check his channel history.
