Clamping your heatgun to the bench has got to be the greatest tool hack I've come across in a very, very long time!
Well done, Sir! Thank you for this nugget of knowledge.
better than having a running heat gun in places is should not be lol.
@@StiltbeastStudiosi am definitely guilty of being a little dangerous with the heat gun by dropping it on the floor 😅... And sitting on hot glue guns that I didn't notice falling off onto the seat and being like... "Where'd it go?" *Sits* "OHHH THAT'S WHERE IT WENT." 😐😳😵💫 Now though I don't have to worry about tripping the cords getting a surebonder hot glue gun after I was introduced to this. I hadn't had that happen to me since then so far. Cause no CORD TO accidentally knock things off tables and workspaces. So... I'm going to use a clamp next time to keep my heat gun in place. Cause I'm a clumsy mess!
So... I should make a giant pool noodle spider? Noted!
I was thinking the same thing.
I didn’t read your comment right after I posted. Great minds think alike. 🙂 A huge spider with these legs would be awesome!
Or two!
Hahaha, that's the first thing I thought of, as well.... more detailed, but funny
Yep, there will be a gigantic rooftop spider on my house this year. Is a 30 foot diameter "foot print" too big?
Thank you for another amazing technique tip. I've been dragging my bottom and Assembly of Frankenstein's monster armature ( hands & head are ready) , this should help. I'm still working on everything else, tombstone's, Pumpkin's & busts on pillars, so I'm hard at it. Haven't started my mausoleum/crypt that I'll hang shear fabric in the doorway, so I can project my Atmosfx digital decorations on to ( a digital vaudeville line up, should be fun)
Glad to help! Hope it is working out. Pool noodles are super helpful. Happy Halloween!
Thanks you make haunting affordable for all of us
I honestly try
Awesome idea love it
Thank you! 😊
You are my favorite human being today. I may retire my glue gun after this! Thank you! Game changer!
lol! Thanks!
SOOO...U ARE THE REASON WE HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO.FIND POOL NOODLES....LOL
lol... yeah well.....
Learning so much!
Keep learning and thanks for tuning in!
Awesome thanks
:O !!! How did you figure out you could do that??!! *mind blown*. haha! I so want to do pool noodle crafts now! :O !! So neeeaaattt!

BRO!!!! Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!!!
Happy to help
Waited too long to find your channel and now can’t find pool noodles 😢. I’m working on something and no body. So have to find something to make it with.
foamnoodles.com they cost a bit more, but they are awesome quality noodles and are available all year in any color.
@@StiltbeastStudios thank you. Very much appreciated.
Will this work to hold a strapless wedding gown? And to possibly use monster mud with?
on a dummy? it could if you engineered it right, make sure the dress is filled out and you have a good structure.
@@StiltbeastStudios thank you!
@StillbeastStudios - I tried this recently and had issues getting the noodles to fuse without just melting and shrinking them. I used setting 1 (lower heat) on my heat gun. Any suggestions?
use high heat and do not wait to bond, you almost need three hands, also watch this video
studio.ua-cam.com/users/videoLPsnyiHD8jo/edit
@@StiltbeastStudios watched and commented. Thanks! Might I suggest putting the link to that video in any of your pool noodle videos. 🙂
Why is the video mirrored? I can tell because all the text on your shirt and in the background is backwards.
rear facing cameras do that on phones, and I use frear facing to keep stuff in Frame
Far Out
Thanks! They're fun to work with.
help!!! want to make a large anaconda snake out of pool noodles
I will try to get to that before Halloween, but I have a few videos lined up already. I will try!

Thank you I decorate a small island for our fire company I’m a volunteer in Warren Connecticut
What kinda fumes does that emit?...
ethelyne fumes for sure, but they are not terrible unless you catch it on for or get it smoking.
I can do see someone making this then using it as a dead body pool float 😂
I'm so doing that now 🤣 custom skeleton paint job
Nice!
I've been watching you for years, you have yet to fail to teach me something new Everytime. I love your channel, and appreciate you taking the time to share your amazing knowledge.
Thank you so much! Im glad you enjoy them!
I've officially retired from Halloween, but I have one wig head and a few pool noodles left. I'll go make stuff one more time just for you, Allen!
Do it! Pool noodles are a great resource.
What a great technique! I am going to use this method to make legs on a huge spider.🕷 Thanks for sharing! You are always so inspirational! 🎃🎃🎃
You are so welcome!
Thank you, stumbled upon this by accident 2 or 3 days ago...made my first torso today, great for a quick ground break. My budget is always limited, so this is a great solution.
So glad that helped- Always trying to stay on budget but it's tough. Thank you for tuning in!
Oh my gosh I love this trick this is magical thank you so much I can make a lot of cheap fun decorations now for Halloween
Come to the dark side Annie! 365 Halloween!
You are so welcome!
Ahhh pool noodles, a haunters best friend other than stacks of cash! These would be great on bucket buddies!
You're right- great idea
‘Dressing a drunk friend.’ Hilarious! Love this! Thanks, Allen.
its harder than you think!
Thanks, Allen! That makes working with pool noodles so much easier. I've got tons of them from a McDonald's playground. I think I'll go make stuff!
Great idea!
You sir are a Halloween genius. I love UA-cam Wednesday!!!!!
Wow, thanks! It's a pleasure to have it back up and running again.
This will open up a lot of possibilities. Thanks for the inspiration. Time to make stuff!
You bet!
This will have saved me so much more money. I am a fursuit and costume maker who is also crazy about the idea of "Every year, every day and every minute and second is Halloween and you cannot change my mind." I want to be someone to make a haunt cause there's so little people in my area of up to 1k population... Generally just 600 people cause a village is practically nothing compared to a city and supplies are VERY LIMITED... I have literally spents thousands in materials over time and I didn't think to use pool noodles. If only I had known this years ago, I would've been working much faster. But I guess it's better than never discovering this!
well, better late than never! good luck with your costumes!
Dollar store here I come!
Right? Stock up for cheap!
I was thinking of making a Dementor and didn't know if a structure of pool noodles would be strong enough to hold large plastic hands or should I just use PVC piping?
on that, Id go PVC but you can always test it.
💪Heck yeah Brother💪 love how you hulk 💪 smashed the body at the end 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
lol- thanks!
Thanks for this. I was going to caulk them. This seems way easier lol.
Glad I could help!
I used some poolnoodles to make vines for my haunted pumpkin patch. I glued aluminum foil Thorne's. It looks pretty cool.
Cool idea!
I gotta get a heat gun and some pool noodles!!!! Let's get this party started!!!!!
get you one!
Allen throwing that body on the ground at the end is the same emotion as Shia LeBoeuf in that "Just Do It" video. Great video! Can't wait to try this out!
DO IT!
Awesome. But I was really hoping to see him all finished and decked out. lol
one day!
It’s finally Wednesday! Feels like it’s been Tuesday for years 😂 Thank you for an idea I can actually do 💀
You're so welcome!
If my nana lets me do this I’ll put a swamp monster costume on it
SWEET! Come on, Nana- let it happen!
Can I use a hair dryer if I font have a heat gun ? Also I want to make a snowman for Xmas in my yard how can I do that with pool noodles? Thanks I love watching
you need a heat gun Im afraid. actually a pool noodle snowman is coming up in November! get a heat gun so you can be ready!
@@StiltbeastStudios thank you so much I’ve learned so much from you and my front yard looks good 😃
so you could take that pool noodle and make a Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas
Hi I was sent to watch your video after asking about sticking this type of foam on a Halloween DIY page on Facebook. You make it look so easy. Can I please ask will this method also work to join 7mm aprox thick sheets? I'm looking to make a very large sheet from smaller ones and thinking a _-_ layout would be my best option any advice would be very gratefully accepted. Thank you.
Almost like a clown tying balloons together! Awesome! 🤡
So 80’s cable access... LOVE IT!
thats how I roll!
Man I wish I knew this before I bought pvc pipe.. I spent more than I wanted and my pumpkin men still fell apart. I didn't use enough cement glue.
I think Harrison and I will go make some big pool noodle animals now. Thanks Allen
those could be very cool!
also an amazing way to fill out your annoying store bought animatronics!
great tip!
@@StiltbeastStudios i first got the idea from K&T do Halloween then you did this great video showing us what else you can do with them!
This is really cool! I am going to:
“GO MAKE STUFF NOW!”
:/ I wanted to see the final outcome of your creation. But thank you for the tips
I'll bet some picture wire would make it posable
Learned something new today. Thanks for sharing.
You are awesome!!!!!! I was using pop bottles to make my skeleton form. I like your pool noodle idea better.
That's a great idea!
I just love his ideas but most of all his personality !!
lol I read that as "and most of his personality"
I should have used a comma in that sentence!! But , seriously, I do love all the things you make but most importantly you explain the reasoning of the products you use and the science behind it. It blows me away. And honestly, your personality is just amazing..wish we were neighbors !!
How is everyone planning on doing Halloween (if allowed) during this pandemic?
I am personally busting by bottom to finish up my Halloween display.
Mine is geared at young families & given the covid19 lock down & unrest, I figure kids really need something special, that free and safe. I can't wait to apply this technic to my work.
@@patbo3577 I want to do it too but I'm not sure how to do it safely right now our numbers are really high for covid
Sadly we did not open.
Also because of the hole through middle these can be stood up with long sturdy PVC pipe zip tied or taped to each leg- great easy body prop ..thanks!!!
Great idea
👍 👍
I absolutely love the energy you bring to all of your videos 🤣 you never fail to make me smile, laugh, or learn
I'm so glad! And you are so kind, thank you.
I use pool noodles for all sorts of stuff, (I'm a costumer) and heat guns all the time, I've even used heat guns to shrink wrap plastic "skins" on noodle stuff, WHY did I not think of this? So simple, yet soooooo useful! And the clamping idea...clamp the gun. YES! I need to do that. But I need to do that outside, so I don't die... I'm gonna save so much time and hot glue. Thanks so much!
horaay!
@@StiltbeastStudios Anything that saves time or hot glue makes me happy, both together is delightful. It always seems such a waste to use hot glue for just sticking things together instead of making things out of it. I mean, it is great for sticking together stuff, but it is a great material on it's own.
Yes Allen, YOU can do anything. Love your videos, thanks for all the tricks of the trade.
Thank you so much!
since you are only using heat to apply the pieces, would A hairdryer be sufficient heat to use? trying to make some props...
no, hair dryers do not get hot enough- you need a heat gun- I love the $13 heat gun from harbor freight.
I just met you, and is it too soon to say I LOVE U! Thank you so much this saves me this HALLOWEEN !
you can do It!
Well, aren't you clever! This a great tip, thanks so much!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for this video! I have a CRAZY idea for halloween this year and you just reassured me that it will work!
awesome, I cant wait to see!
Somebody will be making a carpool buddy after watching this lol
genius!
the old fashioned way still works for making bodies too
(its a joke youtube dont cancel me)
insert homer sliding back into bushes meme here lol.
can you run pvc pipe up the middle of the pool noodle and heat the pool noodle up to form around the pvc pipe without damaging the pvc
I think you could if you were fast with sealing the foam up for sure.
I'm just gobsmacked that some places want $3 a piece for pool noodles.
dolla dolla dolla bills yall! talk to walmart managers, they often have them in back
I have made a pool noodle body and need to attach a styrofoam head to the pool noodle using the least out of weight possible. What's the nest way to attach the styrofoam head to the pool noodle body?
the head has a base that flares out, just make pool noodle straps that hold the base down. like tie down straps, but pool noodle sections.
You should build Polyethylene Pam... She's easy to build but she looks like a man.
um... all right
Thanks for the tutorial! It's possible there are pool noodles manufactured out of a polyethylene that won't work for this purpose? I've got the Inno-Wave brand from Lowe's here in Atlanta and I can't get them to stick with the heat gun for anything. Either doesn't tack together at all, or just melts. Spray adhesive/Super77/90 also just melts polyethylene and I can't get a quick bond out of contact cement either so I guess I'm at an impasse. I may try plumbing/pipe insulation next and see if it works with the heat gun...
Hi there! I don't believe so, however I have a video that may help guide a bit more with specifics. ua-cam.com/video/LPsnyiHD8jo/v-deo.html
Happy Halloween!
@@StiltbeastStudios Gonna try again... Maybe I need the harbor freight heat gun haha - thanks for the response!
I love how you slam it down in the end.
Youre sooo gooood
Quick Trip is the Shit. Also awesome content.
its the best! and thank you!
This is a fantastic video! The possibilities are endless!
pool noodles are amazing!
Another awesome video !
Thanks again!
Wow I'm so inspired 🤩 so many things I can do with this! I love you!💓
You can do it!
Could you make a video on pool noodle Skeleton that would be cool ty.
Im sure I could.
And now I know how to make my spider for the roof!!!!
YES! a spider tutorial is coming soon actually!
brilliant ideia!
Thank you! Cheers!
If I were to make a one of these how could I get it to stand?
rebar in the ground, slide the noodle over the rebar
this is fine and all but why is the video flipped?
I just use a front facing camera, most of them do that
Great tip THANKS!!
No problem!
I HAVE ABOUT 200 POOLNOODLES IN MY SHED. I LOVE THIS!!!!!!
lol. - dude, you're rich!
I have been making a giant spider with expanding foam and pvc…will definitely make use of some pool noodles too. Thanks for your posts!
Life changing 🎃😍
All I’m seeing is another reason to get a heat gun 🤣
the best heat gun is from harborfreight- ist $10 to $15 depending on sales get you one, you deserve it!
It's like watching a balloon clown
almost exactly!
Could I use a blow dryer for heat?
not hot enough, get the $10 heatgun.
next up a "scare crow" launcher?
lol... sweet!
Does this off gas when melted?
a bit im sure but not even a noticeable smell to me. I work with lots of ventilation
I wonder if a blow dryer would work if you dont have a heat gun?
no, but a good heat gun is $12 at harbor freight
@@StiltbeastStudios That's not too bad, I'll look for one there, thank you very much......
I guess I'm buying pool noodles
Yes! Grab some- they sometimes thin out after Labor Day so don’t wait!
What kind of heat gun do I need?
i prefer the warrior heat gun from harbor freight.
Wear gloves n stuff.... hahah
Yeah...
I love this idea !!!
Thank you!
Why yes, I need bodies and now I need more pool noodles! Slam dunk on this video! Literally - as I will now have to hold it in the air - show it off to the household and slam dunk that puppy on the floor! Then ya know it's a legit Stiltbeast body form! Thanks for sharing! 🙋♀️
they have to take a licking!
HOW have I NEVER thought to a heat gun to attach?!?! So excited to have found this trick!! 🙌🙌
