- I am level 2 RAT. I am working in London uk abseiling building in my orange suit.
The building is 70 meters tall.
The repair is a standard splice procedure to make sure the expansion joint is in the right place - otherwise bricks pop off when the building wobbles.
An expansion joint allows the building to naturally wiggle and not crumble . However this building was poor constructed so we will have to repair every single incorrect expansion joint.
I am using a Pretzl harness, descender, back up ASAP.
This is a look at what it’s like to do rope access in London.
Great abseiling skills
Nice repair too
I like the early commentary
Wow, coming from a low populated area I never even thought about this kind of work. You are evidently a very skillful professional, really cool stuff!
This kind of work isn’t really a thing where I come from unless you work on trees
@@Grasscutter69 entertainment rigging could be an option. I’m certain that’s the reason the algorithm brought me here.
Can't wait for you guys to do the brickwork next!
Won’t be long , bricks are in the compound
This is crazy what a huge mistake someone made and i have to say you have got some balls my man to just hang there and work like its nothing amazing job.
no barrier below was giving me the fear, ik you weren't directly over foot path dw lol, much different safety regs to oil and gas industry I'm used to. great and interesting work on the ropes though, cool to see how these buildings are made.
Love the content! Can't believe the amount of work that is required just to move an expansion joint. By the looks of it, the expansion joint was 10cm too low? Or was the initial gap in the steel channel for something else?
Come on guys you know you need a exclusion zone below 🙊1 m for every 3m if possible any of that material fall your in trouble we can see it’s a public walkway below
I am thinking of doing my IRATA level 1 is it hard to get work?
Summer time is here and there is lots of work going on- it will be worth joining a firm and get your hours up
