Cavaliers FMM ('77-'87 Baritone/Contrabass): What a great way to start a Monday morning, bringing tears to my eyes. Both of these songs are so iconic in the activity, and to be listened to together by each corps playing together is really a treat. Send in the Clowns always gives me goosebumps. I absolutely loved this... SPLOOIE-4-Life (and beyond)
I'm just an old brass player who never had the guts to try drum corps. I have no attachment to either of these groups or pieces of music. And this video reduced me to tears. I wish I could see more of this.
Fantastic. I love this arrangement of Send in the Clowns. In 94 when I marched Cadets, we did a combined encore with Blue Devils. Wish there was UA-cam back then. I’ve never seen a recording of it.
My senior year we did wizard of oz. Picture a company front going forward with an emerald castle in the background with balloons flying during then finale "somewhere over the rainbow"
Agreed, never marched DCI but always attended the shows and ngl floods of emotions are going to comeback as I'm finally going back to DCI for the first time in 3 years in about a month.
It could maybe do with the idea that both corps were accredited with "killing drumcorps" in the 70's. SCV began using asymetrical drill and the Cavaliers began doing themed shows if I remember correctly
"that's a lot of brass"
😂

Rich Daley that sounds like quite the encore

Send in the clowns was amazing to see in person like that
2 great corps 2 great songs. One day they will look like the Cavaliers and Santa Clara of old.
the contras sounds so bold and clean it sends chills down my spine!
My corps and my second favorite corps. ❤❤

Those mellophones and contras!
bent leg supremacy
I miss this... maybe I should do a reaction channel to DCI shows as well. I grew up with this in my life and kinda want it back.

How come SCV and the Cavs are so close?
