- Season 05 : Episode 10 :
Angel Reséndiz had an uncontrollable desire to kill. He started his life with a pretty low moral compass and spent most of it stealing to make a living, but soon, instead of just robbing people, he felt like he needed to kill them and he couldn’t stop himself.

The woman that survived is absolutely amazing person today….she started a safe house for victims of domestic violence and more. Just thought people would want to know that. She also wrote a book.
That's amazing. I'm really glad she thrived after surviving such violence.
@@hopefulmonsters4407 I agree. It’s really incredible and that’s why I thought I would share. She is a real inspiration for so many.
Thank you for sharing that
I wish I could start some shelter myself. But never had the money or means to do it. I like reading and hearing when someone else does. It tells me that there are still people out there who have a good mindset out there, despite all the bad out there.
She is in an episode of "I survived"...I am glad Gilles is doing this case, I was amazed by her story!
I posted a comment but don't see it.. he's the one that killed my stepmom and her dad in Illinois so it really hits close to home for me too but you did an awesome job on bringing his story to us
I guess that's about as close as it gets without getting you.
Hope your family found some peace with his capture.
Sorry your family came into contact with the animal. I was in prison with him, Same place, different Block, he was friggin insane. There was no faking his insanity. Head injury, drugs, born that way, I dunno, but bat shit crazy nonetheless. Believe me when I say his last years on this planet were not pleasant. Peace and fajita grease….

His fingerprints were found on my daughter in laws windows after an attempted break in [she was still in high school at the time and living with her parents]. I was a young newlywed in Texas when Reséndiz was working his way through the area. Our backyard was about 200 yards from a wooded area with a creek and the train tracks. I remember actually booby trapping the back door Home Alone-style once when my husband was out of town for work because I was nervous about going to sleep. Only time I have ever been scared in my house.
That’s terrifying.

I am always amazed and horrified how broken the human mind can become, to the point where there is no empathy, or even enjoyment gained from the suffering of others.
This channel is a perfect reminder that monsters do, in fact, exist and walk among us. They are technically human beings, but in their minds and hearts, they barely qualify for the title of "human" at all. Always stay vigilant, because you never know when you might encounter one, as they rarely look like monsters on the outside. The subject of this video, for example, looks almost identical to my father In-law, who couldn't be a kinder or more loving man.
Dont be amazed. FU
Sometimes people are born that way!
@@RobCatacomb it is kinda amazing how the brain works.
@@RobCatacomb you are pathetic.
This one hits close to home. This man is the reason my father taught me how to shoot a gun. I grew up just a few miles from one of the murders and was left alone at night often as my parents worked. He was a very present threat, I remember that clearly.
Also, Weimar is pronounced Why-Mur. Our pronunciation makes no sense in Texas.
Bexar is another name that I hear mispronounced lol
Northerners often say "how ston" for Houston
I grew up in Houston and although it's a very large city we were SCARED of this man here during that time. Cannot tell you how relieved this city, and I'm sure the rest of the country, was when he was caught.
Glad it's not just us in the UK that have bizarre pronunciations that throw true crime UA-camrs off 🤣
That's just how we pronounce Weimar, like leaving the H off Humble. Meanwhile in NYC, Houston is pronounced How-stun. It's a huge country. *Shrug*
@@r0nb0h0ju Bay-har is an outlier, it's an odd pre-Roman name so of course most people get it wrong unless it's said for them. Manor pronounced May-nur is a better example of a common named said the Texas way.
It’s really hard to fathom how someone can have such little humanity or empathy for one’s life.
Empathy is a two way thing. If no one shows you empathy it's hard to empathize with anyone.
I know this because I used to give a fuck about people. Now it's a good thing I'm lazy otherwise.....
Funny his name was Angel when in reality he is the devil wearing a human suit.
@@theFLCLguy Resendiz had absolutely zero empathy, even when it was shown to him & no regard for human life. So, don’t give me that garbage.
What's sad is a lot of people today (mostly online) look down on empathetic people. The world just gets colder.
Really do u remember not long ago something callled slavery. U know about emmitt till. All they young 12 yr old well really any age black kids that were hung in trees while the whole white town would come out n bring there family out to torcher n hang innocent kid for supposedly whistling at a white woman when actually the kid had a lisp an couldn’t whistle But this is about white people dying so yea it’s sooo horrible n such a lack of empathy huh
Any program I've watched on him have focused on the young runaways that you mentioned towards the end. I think due to this, I hadn't understood how prolific and, well, monstrous he was. It's always interesting to hear these monsters plead for the same humanity they refuse to show their victims.

Thank you for bringing closure to my childhood TV trauma. This case was covered on either America's Most Wanted or Unsolved Mysteries (don't remember which) back in the late 90's. I was like 11-12 and watched the episode and it ended with the host saying something to the effect of "so if you live anywhere within earshot of train tracks make sure the you lock all your doors and windows" I had lived in that house for a couple years but that was the 1st night I ever noticed the fact that I could hear the train horn from the tracks a couple miles away. Scared the absolute shit out of me. I couldn't sleep for days and had terrible nightmares for months. I eventually forgot about it but even into my 20s I would get freaked out any time I heard a train horn while I was in bed at night.
Never knew that the case was solved until just now.
This is crazy. I have been watching your videos for over a year and I go to the University of Kentucky. I have been to so many parties on State street and those railroad tracks are right behind it. Crazy hearing a story like this
Down town Lexington is a shit hole, but the west side of Louisville’s worse, Dixie hiway 4 life

That couple killed walking between parties when he came out of the brush with a knife sounds horrific. Victim offered case, his car, anything! Instead, he tied them up and beat them to death with a rock and his hands (didn’t use the knife??). This sounds insanely similar to the Man from the Train theory by Bill and Rachel James. Guy rides the rails, chooses a home, kills the occupants with a hatchet taken from the home, 'inappropriately' assaults one member of the family, covers the victims with a blanket or something similar, and then hops back on a train. Only difference is that 'the man from the train' operated in the 1800s (if you believe the theory) - it's a great book, if anyone is looking for something new
That’s what I was thinking. Scary how easy it is to hop on a train and let out after doing something so horrible. I’ve lived within meters of tracks so many times 😨😨😨
Wasn't that in Villesca?
A greedy and evil man who hated Americans, but kept visiting America, makes sense. Made me really angry hearing that he wanted to be treated “humanely”, disgusting man really thought he should be treated better than his victims?
That's the typical serial killer mindset.
If there's one thing you can count on, it's these wretched subhumans demanding ridiculous double standards. They are unspeakably cruel to others, yet are themselves dedicate dewdrops who insist on being handled with a soft touch.
Common of a narcissistic psychopath
Depending on the narrative, we in the US are either saviors or devils, regardless, they keep wanting to come here or imitate our systems. He wanted to do what countless millions have already done: enter, take, usurp resources, send money to family “back home”, and leave when it’s convenient. I’m left of center, but just barely. We have crippled ICE and shit like this will just continue like it has but worse. I feel terrible for all of the immigrants who have done things the correct way, the legal way, and then other citizens from their former countries do things like this. Raise better humans and stop bitching about the US wanting to enforce our laws.
I really dislike the language being used here and it feels racist as fuck.
Glad you made a comment about companies carrying some of the blame for crime by exploiting laborers. For what it costs to house one prisoner for one year you could almost pay someone a living salary instead. Not trying to start a debate about minimum wage, just saying crime tends to decrease when you confront the root of the problem. Poverty rates are directly correlated with crime rates.
Americans haven’t had a real wage increase in 40 years when you factor inflation. Socialism for the rich, capitalism for everyone else.

Crime is less likely but still very prevalent unfortunately as it's not all about income to live but these people have taken another's human right to live while many themselves have chosen to coward out and let society pay. Whole other issue there.

These type of people are exactly who the death penalty is for.
I literally can’t comprehend how evil people can be. Like it doesn’t seem real that things like this Happen when you hear about it. But like this stuff happens and it’s so hard to fathom. Wish people could get the help they need whatever it may be before they go this crazy or do such horrible things
Some people are just plain evil. Labeling them as crazy or disturbed gives them an easy out. Not all monsters have mental issues.
I know. It’s like I get fights and heat of the moment stuff but goin around planning to kill people for nothing. It just doesn’t register for me
Ohhh I just watched this guy on FBI files. What an absolute monster. Looking forward to hearing your take.
I think it's wonderful that you give info on suicide prevention and domestic abuse services at the end of each video. So many people suffer and are unaware of the resources available. Thank you.
I'll never forget when I was younger working at HEB here in San Antonio seeing this guy outside the store. This was a developing case at the time and I remember people were a bit on edge because of the murders and how he was train hopping.
When I was getting off work that night, we had several sapd officers at our store because of an apparent theft. As I was leaving the store, around 1030, a man who looked like this guy, asked me "Why are all these cops here?" I didn't think much of it, at the time, but when I got home, a news segment was airing and I literally jumped out of bed telling my girlfriend at the time, I just saw that guy at heb. I called the police and let them know I saw him and they took a report.
Talk about being so close to a serial killer. I always wondered what would or could have happened if the police were not at the store that day.

Awesome UA-camr, one of my absolute favorite channels!! Thank you for all of your hard work for each MONSTER tale you give. It doesn't go unnoticed!!
This is a good example of a case where I approve of the death penalty. There was no chance of executing an innocent man because of the amount of evidence against him.
Oh but one of his murders was pinned on an innocent couple before he confessed.
My favorite saying or quote about death penalty is that its too cruel for innocent and too easy for the guilty.
The latter if kept alive having at least the theoretical possibility to be tormented by their deeds and regret - in the future if not now - instead of the easy way out.
Great job on all the informative and entertaining content. You deserve all of the credit and success that you are getting. You work very hard at this and it shows.
I can hardly look at his picture. Man. Evil incarnate
I am Texan, I hope you weren't being judgemental of our laws. I'm not arguing the right or wrong of the death penalty, just that it's our law, so if you don't want die in TX by lethal injection don't murder people here with the added offenses that qualify your crime. It's pretty simple actually!! I'm not saying we aren't a different breed, we are!! If you are here and need help you will probably get all you need, come here for some BS, well....
I don't think he was judgement, more he was just kinda pointing it out.
@theOGgarf I agree, have watched for years. We do get kind of a bad wrap over that sometimes, and as you saw I have no desire to try to change anyone's beliefs. Most Texans are really great people, I don't know about the whole state, but where I am the people are good hearted.. I guess somewhere along the way we decided 0 tolerance for people who kill, and rob, kill and rape, and so on. To get death you have to have another atrocity added to murder. Have a great night, and thank you for replying
On a philosophical level I agree that rapists, serial killers, etc deserve to die, however I oppose the death penalty because of the inherent risk that the state will make a mistake, or voluntarily frame someone who is innocent, and get them killed. The risk is too big, in my opinion.
@Merjacevi I completely understand, and in my own Texan way agree. I sat a death penalty case, and was convinced to a lvl I could recommend death, I was however convinced to the point I could recommend death in a TX prison, by old age. A person who I felt needed someone with a weapon monitoring him every minute of every day
I’m Texan. I agree with the death penalty. But it needs to be where’s there’s 0 doubt.
I shouldn't be this stoked to be introduced to a new serial killer...but here i am.

A prime example of why catch and release doesn't work, even if he didn't commit any murders or crimes. The boarder needs to be secured and patrolled. Foreign criminals committing such heinous crimes should be given no quarter, no last meal, and no marker for their grave.
As much as he wanted to avoid prison had I been the prosecutor I would have taken the death penalty off the table and asked for life without parole. And I would have made sure to tell him at sentencing that the state would go to extraordinary lengths to keep him alive for as long as possible so that he could suffer every second until he's a very very old man.
