That's what I try always to explain to people while traveling, that Syrian food is the best, they even do better Pizza in Damascus than Napoli and better Croissant than Paris 😂
As a Syrian, I don't agree about the better pizzas than Napoli Pizza's in Syria are great, but I've been to Napoli and the best pizzas I've ever had in my existence, ultimately perfect ones. About the croissants, you're right. Aleppo croissants are WAY better than the ones in Paris
u deleted my comment! You see? I told you i was Syrian myself and you delete my comment? Why ya عيني? Caus i wrote the truth? All food bloggers make the same videos in Syria, same guide, same restaurants, same hotels. Stop deleting this! U just look stupid caus you told a syrian person how "they" dont like my attitude. These are MY people who the fuck are you? Going to my country gives u a fucking responsability to tell whats happening there RIGHT NOW. Going there without talking about it is like visiting Nazi Germany and just talking about how nice the weather was. SHAME ON YOU. Delete it again and i will write it again. That u are deleting my comments instead of anwering me back shows me that im obviously pushing some buttons. Delete it again u just making it worse. The truth always comes out,my friend. As i said ur maybe not a bad person, but u are doing a bad thing here.
I am syrian, have lived outside syria my whole life, just visiting every couple of years and this video makes me tear up because I haven't been there in a long while. I miss Bab Touma the old streets where I walked and shopped and spent much time. I miss the food, the people, the scent of coffee beans roasting and sound of Fairuz playing. Thanks for sharing ypur experience, it made me happy.
Man I miss it there. The food by itself will take you back to Syria. The culture is something else. Damascus is literally an amazing place. No matter how old and ancient Damascus is, it will never get old. Awesome video and I can't wait for the next one.
Oh man, what can I tell you? I will say thank you. Thank you, because you reminded me of my old memories on Qaymariya Street. I left Syria more than 11 years ago. Thank you again
Amazing vlogs on Syria! The best lve seen on Syria till date! (Especially post war) Thanks for visiting Damascus and really immersing yourself as if you were locals. Thanks for showing the real Damascus and breaking down stereotypes. I will continue to live vicariously through your travels 😎
If you want proper Shawarma its in Libanon,Jordan or Syria. Turkey copyied them all and made other versions but original is from these places.same goes with the Falafel. Egypt has great falafel as well.
the absolute best shawarma in Damascus is in: "bab touma" area, "adib isaac" street, the snack is called "alburj البرج" trust me, my mom's side of the family live just in the building next to it... i'm half syrian half lebanese. whenever i go to Damascus, i have to eat meat shawarma there!
When you say just Syria or Damascus you feel the beauty and how ancient the country is, Damascus is the oldest capital ever and one of the oldest cities in history, Syrian people with different cultures and origins and religions....well educated people ,they are always polite and kind and they talk in nice way ....Syria and middle east is a treasure..but fortunately humans are good in destroying nice things, Thank for coming to this wonderful land...and it will stay wonderful for ever ...despite the evel and despite everything.
I have tried different types of shawarmas and felafel sandwiches from different countries.. I do think Syrian ones are the best to me. I miss Syria so much. I hope I can travel there someday again..
Hi dude welcome to Syria Thanks for showing the beautiful side of the country on your channel I hope you had a good time in Damascus I'm waiting you to visit my beloved city Aleppo which is a very nice city by the way I advise you to try Kibbeh which is the best dish in the city
Thank you for showing me a video that summarizes what I’ve been missing for 12 years! Muhammara btw has crushed walnut and crushed pepper and pomegranate molasses 😊

Great vlog and Syrian food is really one of the best. 😋 Also I just wanted to say that people and food and places native to Damascus are referred to as Damascene and not Damascan 😅❤️ I understand if you heard it that way from the tour guide 😁
I live in the Wrong country Omg! The peoples strength, the sights, the art, the food and the pure Humble feeling i see in this video. I won't get to go there unfortunately unless the US drops sanctions and allows travel again. But Thank you for traveling there. I just wish there was more of the .... sadder side, the poorer outskirts of Damascus and out lying villages. I want to see the struggle that makes the people so strong.
Wow the title picture with the look on Mollys face I took a double take on what she was holding in both hands haha, great vid guys, keep on dabbling xx
