I met “Mayor Eastwood while shopping in a small grocery store in Carmel while on my Honeymoon. One of his best films IMHO. Didn’t know about the in’s and out’s of the casting decisions. This is why I enjoy your videos so much! I can’t see anyone doing a better job than Jessica Walter as psycho lady! Man did she mail that role and set up the rest of her career! ❤

Clint showed his directing talent as well as his acting in this movie and even though he will always be thought of as a great western gunslinger type actor his directorial career is just as impressive. I was especially impressed with how he directed two movies based on the battle of Iwo Jima, the Flag Of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima. In Letters From Iwo Jima he had to work with primarily a cast actors from Japan and tell the story of the battle from the Japanese perspective. Both movies were very good as have been so many others that he has directed.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful message for Clint. He is definitely a talented actor/director and we do hope that he will reach 100 years old at least!
Play Misty for me is a top notch thriller that could make a person think twice about having a one night stand, then years later Fatal Attraction came out which is another one to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Jessica Walters played a psycho so well she had a hard time getting work right after this release. This has to be one of Eastwood's and Walters best work ever on film. Andy Robinson who play the psycho so well in the first Dirty Harry movie ( 1971 ) also had a very hard time getting cast in movies for a long time due to that role.
The film, The Incident, was a good film. This film starred one of the Bridges boys. Rarely ever seen on TV, and not easy to find otherwise. Still, I recommend the film anyway.
Absolutely, we feel the same way! Thank you for sharing your sentiments and for watching our content. What other types of video would you like to see on our channel?
I have every last Clint Eastwood movie. My favorite ones are the Every Which Way but Loose and Any Which Way You Can movie. With Play Misty coming in a strong second I wasn't really too crazy about his westerns. I love the fact that Clint Eastwood was born in the same city I was that that would be San Francisco. Clint Eastwood is a very good actor too bad he has to be a Republican. But I will never hold that against him
Try to just enjoy Clint Eastwood the man, the actor, the artist, without bringing politics into the mix. Democrats and Republicans are equally flawed. Now, please, shut the hell up so the rest of us can enjoy this video.
I have got this movie DVD of Clint Eastwood with Donna Mills in Play Misty For Me I am dedicating this movie DVD to my old school friends who are both sisters as I hope to see them both again very soon to Chris and Hester Brand from Billyxxxxx
Wow that's amazing that your 57 and never heard of this movie. This movie came out in 1971. Now I'm pretty sure that you saw the movie Fatal Attraction with Michael Douglas. Now if you like that movie you will love this movie.
Misty is a great Clint Eastwood movie. Dirty Harry put him into the stratosphere of success. I highly doubt Clint would have ever been less than a gentleman on set. He really is the straight shooter he acts like in his movies.
At 6:17, the narrator refers to "a soap opera named Dan August, starring Burt Reynolds." The series centred on plainclothes big-city police detectives with Norman Fell, Ned Romero, et al., alongside Mr. Reynolds.
This movie scared the crap out of me. I’ll never forget Clint Eastwood grabbing the blade of the butcher knife with his bare hand. She was truly a psycho.
Some years after I saw this film, I had the misfortune to end up as a chief witness against a certified nut in a murder case. I can tell you that Eastwood nailed the psychotic behavior and the sense of tension that being the target of such stalking brings. He later was spot on with William Munny in Unforgiven concerning how Munny could rationalize every whim.
Back in those days he was a wild man. They were coming in the front door as quick or quicker than he could get them the back door. Wonder where he ranked with Magic Johnson?
I've heard Clint had affair's with most of the leading ladies in his movies then dumped them after the movie was made he must have hooked up with Jessica in this, it was a good movie
Very confusing video. 98% of the time you reference Donna Mills you're actually showing Jessica Walter. For those who don't know the background, haven't seen the film or don't know either actress, they would think Jessica Walter is Donna Mills. Poor.
