Hello 🤗 Audrey 🌹 and Rocket 🐱 just love your kitty 🐈 Thank you for sharing this video I love this Best as I'm lean towards Graphic design more than plants etc looking forward to seeing you tonight hope you had a good weekend ☺️🌹💌🖌️🎨📚🦄🤗❣️❣️
Rocket is the cutest :D and the nosiest, haha. Cool that you're leaning towards graphic design! I'll always love my plants/florals, but sometimes I feel like painting abstract shapes. See you tonight!
Hi Audrey! Watching the video was a great way to start off my Tuesday morning. Enjoyed catching a glimpse of your cat too 😺 I liked the circles/bubbles best. Took me back to the start of your 100 day project and for me - starting a sketchbook practice last year.
My letter press printing class has been a lot of fun and a lot of work! I've printed posters, cards, notepads, gift tags, and bookmarks this semester. It's a work out both physically and mentally - designing in Illustrator is a challenge for my old brain. ha, ha! It ends mid May and then I'll be back watching the livestreams - Live. Looking forward to that 😊
Illustrator is hard, I agree! Looking forward to seeing you at my lives again :) but I’m glad to hear your class is going well and that you’re rising up to the challenge 💚
how beautiful! I will do these these for sure! By the way, do you know what materials we will be using for tonight’s live session? I would like to be prepared with the materials 😃
Hi! Aw thank you for your kind comment. I'm not sure what I'll use at tonight's live. Most likely watercolors, round brushes (sizes 2-6), and maybe colored pencils. Yesterday was "National Gardening Day", so I thought about doing gardening illustrations and coloring/painting them. See you tonight!
I love this series so much, Audrey ~ thank you!! May I ask, do you use a specified brand of washi tape? I keep getting bleed (not with your exercises, with things like washes with a lot of a water) and wasn't sure if there's a "good" brand to get. Hi to Rocket! 🐾
Hi! So funny that you asked because I organized my washi tape collection over the weekend. Many of my rolls were ripping off the roll and I didn't like how some of them also ripped off my watercolor paper. I can't say that I have a favorite brand right now.. but so far I've noticed that the ones from Michael's aren't great. :\ I threw out most of those rolls. I'll have to get back to you on brands that I like, but one tip that you can try is to use the tape on your clothing first to pick up a little bit of lint and make it slightly less tacky before placing it on your paper. I will say that the Scotch Expressions Washi Tape has been surprisingly good. It's not as tacky, peels from the roll effortlessly, and there's a lot of tape (good bang for your buck).
@@AudreyRaDesign GIRL. I just had to report back about the Scotch Expressions... lemme just say, if I could high-five you right now, I so would! This tape gave me *perfect* lines, and I tested it by doing a 3 layer wash with lots of water. At least my previous tape will still be good for non-washed edges because it's never being used for washed edges again. 🤣 SO much thanks!!!!!
@@treesapgrl OH YAY! Thank you so much for taking the time to report back. I appreciate that so much! Now I wanna buy some more of those, haha. I only had a few rolls of them and felt like all of them worked out for me. So glad they worked out for you, too!
Which abstract layers relaxing watercolor exercise is your favorite?

Thanks so much, Sheri! Oh my gosh that 100 day project. Yes, you're so right. It takes me back to day 1. How has your class been going?
