Kia Optima hood release problems. how to open hood from outside.

this is applicable to 2016 year model and other as well

In my experience when you run into a hood that won't release sometimes you just need someone to pull the latch while you push up and down on the hood and that usually does the trick

Number 1 problem for that model I have had mine replaced 3 times and I find myself again in this situation. I learned from other techs that you have to bend the tube down a little bit where the cable comes out of the locking mechanism.

Same here. 3 times and happed again with a new bracket that keeps bending

Man thank you soooo freaking muchhhh for this video. I have the same year car with the issue of the hood not opening when I hit the release hitch lolol.
