I played it at Superbooth. And I had the impression, that it's not just a synth, but it can be like a worktation as well, with drums, bass, multiple synths etc. Really blew my mind and I'm contemplating getting one since then ;)
That filter sounds really lame and bad. It's not wrong to be digital as there are plenty of good digital filters, but this is not one of them for sure.
You could probably come close with free VSTs like Surge XT and Vital. Which is not a bad thing -- as those sound amazing, as does Iridium. Like any modern digital synth, it's basically a VST in a box - similar to Pigments or Omnisphere in sound and functionality. It's software running on an ARM CPU or custom DSP chips, with a control interface and a DAC + AD/DA converter for getting sound in and out.
Check out my Waldorf Iridium and Quantum soundsets: bit.ly/iridium-quantum 🎵
Im debating getting just this synth, or to use those funds for something like a hydrasynth deluxe plus a blofeld or something else.

Hydrasynth+Iridium is the magic recipe
👌

Bullshit.
Only people who say that about this synth is the ones who can’t afford it but really do want it 😂
Sounds great to me
Sounds like cheap VSTi

Someone always thinks they have to say nonsense... this time it's you.
