You need to use shrinkwrap for the convection oven because it holds it tighter and you have a better result and it will be like using a mug press, just cheaper and you dont need to rotate

@@MakersGonnaLearn If your oven is a convection airfry option you do not flip it. If you have just a convection the flip. Shrink wrap is a must for convection sublimation.

Hi Tanner!! Shrink Wrap sleeves just need to be used on the tumblers in the oven; and silicone wraps used for the mugs in the oven….and you will get PERFECT RESULTS EVERY TIME!!

I use a silicone sleeve with my mugs in a 400F convection for 14 minutes without rotating . They always come back perfect, no ghosting and colors very vivid. I have not done the tumblers yet but most people use a shrink wrap with the oven.

in the oven keep that bottom rack on and you will be able to rotate anyway you want. Also use the shrinkwrap they are cheap and makes your tumbler and cups come out PERFECT also you should take your design off right away (my oven is taller than the one that Tanner is using so maybe that is why he doesn't have the bottom rack in

I have never used a mug press, but I have found with my convection oven that it takes a silicone wrap and 6-7 minutes (I've used a sublimation print and Cricut Infusible Ink paper/markers) on ceramic mugs. I have not used it with tumblers yet.

My mugs turn out great, I don't have a mug press. I use butcher paper I have cut to shape. I bought a Sublimation oven to do the best job for my clients, mostly my big family 😀 I did purchase stretchy sleeves to hold the paper tightly.

I have a mug press that attaches to my heat press and an air fryer. My air fryer does a much better job as long as I use a silicone wrap to tightly hold the image to the mug.

Thank you for this comparison video. I love these kinds of videos. If I had my connection oven before I got the mug press, I wouldn't have bought the mug press. I get great results from the oven so I wouldn't need the mug press. Plus the oven is fast and I can do multiple items at once. Don't get me wrong, I love the results from the mug press, the mugs are perfect every time. But with the prices being so different, I would have only got the oven.
Thank you again for another fantastic video!!

I noticed that. Both the cup and the tumbler would have come out perfect with sleeves. Just my honest opinion. And, if he had the rack in for both it would have been easier. Glad I'm not the only one that noticed no sleeve. 😊😊😊

Thank you for the video. I always enjoy the content on this channel. For mugs in the convection oven, it does take a much longer time to bake for sublimation depending on the oven. I have an Oster & it takes 13-14 minutes for mugs. I also rotate half way & set a timer. My Cricut mug press is still in the box over a year & I haven’t used it yet. 😁

I have done a tumbler in the oven and had the same issue with it not being as vibrant. Until I found large diameter shrink tubing on amazon! It works amazing! It does take 1 more minute per rotation. i.e. 6min vs 4min

4 minutes for mugs is not long enough. I use blue painters tape to keep everything nice and tight and my mugs and tumblers turn out perfect in the convection oven. Mugs are left in for 12 minutes at 400F and tumblers for 5 minutes and 30 seconds at 350F with a rotation half way through the time.

A press is the best way for anything sublimation, it is all about Pressure. You can't get the right pressure in an oven.
