Thanks for your review. Not sure if you've found it yet but there is now a way to plug in usb joysticks into this which is to use an Open Source project called HID Remapper. Apart from letting more gaming joysticks work (it uses the E1-E4 switch ports for connection) this also lets you run additional configs for multiple button presses. Because it's wired you are less likely to get the issues you might experience with Titan 2 or Chronus Zen (which are sometimes seen as cheats by the Sony game servers). Because people with disabilities sometimes have movement difficulties they might need macros to level the playing field. Also, I've been using some of the ultra low force joysticks from Celtic Magic in the UK for my clients (these plug into the E1-E4) ports and they work great...only need small movements to control them and you also have press stick assign an additional function in the game setups if needed.
The controller might be great, but seems like its only for very specific needs, with very limited customization when you start thinking about it. The biggest mistake to me is the fact that it has just one joystick (ie. essentially half of the controller), and you need another, separate controller for two joysticks. While this might work fine for some, it is still just two controllers, not a configurable all-in-one wonder that could prove to be usefull for wider range of users. In some other video the person said something like "it works great, if you use it the way Sony intended for you to use it", which seems to be fitting. But right now, what else it is, if not half of the controller with bigger buttons that's designed to be used with two hands? I mean like, I don't have fingers in my left hand, but there's no situation I would let go of the other stick while playing, I just find another way to press a button if need be.
Seem my comment above - there is a work around for the issues experienced. I agree with you though - it would have been way better had Sony included more options for standard usb gaming joysticks. they got greedy and wanted people to buy a second unit. It's got some nice features though once you get past the limitations. I'm impressed with the flexiblity of the in game configs.
Very informative. Thanks for the review! I think it's good that Sony have at least looked in to creating a controller for disabled gamers. I would imagine games like Red Dead Redemption 2 would be near impossible for most people to play with this controller as most of the time you need to be holding one button while pressing another --AND- be able to move your character around and change camera angles. (Similar to Spiderman.) I thought they would have put some sort of silicone or suckers under the controller to prevent it from slipping? I suppose you can buy a silicone mat to place underneath when you're gaming. Not everyone wants to drill holes in to their desks as you may want to change the position of where you store it.

Sure! I’ve just set up remote play for my ps5 so I don’t have to buy a new capture card!
3:12 - considering that the distance of the lever to the control buttons is adjustable, moving it a little further wouldn't solve or at least minimize the problem?
I then found that when it’s further away I found it harder to quickly get the other buttons. Bit of a case of choosing what I’d prefer

Yes it can but for me it still when extended caused issues with hitting other buttons
@WallsiesDGP I've just done a Google search & Logitech do some of there own buttons that work with the controller. Have a look & See what you think ??
Try velcro to hold down your controller to your desk.
I have silicon matts which can stop it from moving. Just thought it's something which could've been looked at with even rubber feet or removable weights

Exactly that! Buy 2 and you can choose which joystick does the camera and which is movement

It’s good for sports games such as madden 24 and nba 2k 24 I found to be accommodating I have neorapathy in my fingers and hands
I agree I struggle to play FPS games with the access controller but sport is

I've read you need a PlayStation account to even use these controls. Is this correct?
To use on PlayStation yes, don’t think it works on other consoles but I use it on my PC without having to use my PlayStation account
@@WallsiesDGP a PlayStation account is free though right? The PlayStation Network isn't. I'm trying to make sure there aren't any surprise fees/costs before purchasing. I've been reading on line about it but am a little confused.
