In terms of why MB14 never won a GBB, it’s because he doesn’t always have a set of his best rounds prepared and often others save their best rounds against him because he’s so good. In 2015, 2016, and 2017 one of his battles is always the most viewed because they are legendary. Also loopstation category allows some effects on the voice, whereas MB14 is more a purist using just his vocals with basic sound mixing and reverb, but others produce and DJ their sounds more. But MB14 also competed in the solo beatbox category with just a mic, which few other loopers have as well as singing competitions. So even though he didn’t win looping he has more accomplishments in more areas than any other looper, and he’s become known more outside beatbox competitions than others.

MB14 is very famous in France.
• He is beatbox world champion with his former group Berywam (the group itself performed in AGT when he had already left)
• He was second on The Voice France 2016 and third of The Voice France All Stars in 2021, and sometimes he was not using his loop station at all. Even as a normal singer, he is amazing.
• He had the lead role in a 2022 french movie, where he plays the role of a rapper/slammer who becomes opera tenor: it got some solid success in french theaters and was titled “Tenor”.
Recently he got a golden buzzer at Britain Got Talent 2023

I'm french and MB14 is a national treasure ! He's maybe not the best beatboxer in the world, but he's the best looper for sure ! Everything is real, this is just him, looping again and again what he creates... Just amazing isn't it ?! He sings, raps, does opera better than a lot of professionals and he can do any Instrument with his mouth... MB14 is incredible, a genius artist with so many skills ! In France, he's also an actor now, he played in a movie called Tenor, written for him, where he performs, of course, all the singing opera part and he's rapping. He's the lead actor in this movie 😉 You made my day, so happy you've reacted to him ! And just for you know, this showcase, 100% live, is known as one of the best performance ever for a looper/beatboxer. The first and third are originals, written entirely by him and then you have Gangsta's Paridise and Damian Marley with Road to Zion. Impressive... Thank you so so much 🥳😘

Welcome to the world of modern beatbox in this case a loop station showcase, it started getting good 2016 but from 2019 to 2023 the skill level has basically gotten insane. if you want to go down the rabbit hole the top ten drops of GBB videos (grand beatbox battle) is a good place to start.
