That neoliberal fascist line wasnt about the left, ik it sounds weird to say, but it in fact refers to a political and economic philosophy that emphasizes free-market capitalism, deregulation, privatization, and reducing the role of the state in public affairs. It suggests that the forces of neoliberalism and authoritarianism are undermining progressive or left-wing politics. So it's not a critique against the left! He’s critiquing how modern capitalism and authoritarianism have co-opted progressive movements or used them to serve corporate or elite interests, thereby diluting or undermining true progressive change. Not a critique against you either, just wanted to address it for anyone who is confused about that line. Bo has been a long-time progressive and I am happy to see he's still this way after many years! c:

I may be wrong but In kneeling down i think Raye is paying homage to James Brown who would often go down on his knees whilst singing live. She playing along with the style as well as the music. personally i think she wasnt happy when she belted out her big note so she went to do it again but laughed when the bubble flew in front of her face. True professionalism on how she reentered the song without a thought then belted out the finish. Raye is the best ive heard in a very very long time, such an exciting artist.

Raye is usually barefoot onstage. I beleive she's said it makes her feel more grounded when she does so. I think the same might apply to why she's sitting during the performance!! Her live performances of every song are always different from each other, there's always something to look forward to with her live music.

Hi from the UK 🇬🇧 👋 Raye is spectacular! Glad you have discovered her 😊 Her Tiny Desk performance is really stunning! So jazzy and her voice just shines. Also her cover of Feeling Good (Triple J) is hauntingly beautiful - she plays the piano for that one. I don't know if you can access BBC Radio1 Live Lounge UA-cam videos but she did her song Black Mascara and she also covered Running up that hill, which were both amazing! Definitely worth a watch if you can access the content in USA. Other live performances I think you would enjoy are: The Thrill is Gone (Mercury Awards), It's a Man's World (at the Montreux Jazz Festival and also live at the AMAs), Worth it (at the Hilton Hotel in London and also her performance of Worth it/Genesis on SNL), Escapism (SNL), Genesis (The Daily Show), Oscar Winning Tears (Kelly Clarkson Show). All of her live performances are incredible and she constantly switches up the musical arrangements of her songs which is so interesting! Her live version of her album 21st Century Blues recorded at The Royal Albert Hall is just chefs kiss 👌 I also appreciate that she shines a light on topical issues in her music and it creates conversations. She is open about the dark situations that she has gone through (sexual violence, body dysmorphia, addiction and mental health) and about wanting to normalise talking about these topics to help others. She is also very outspoken about wanting better rights for songwriters (she is a very accomplished songwriter and has written for so many big names over the years) and for everyone who contributes to creating songs to be awarded fairly. She is also an independent artist now - she was signed to the label Polydor back in 2014 and they were happy to profit off her songwriting abilities but wouldn't let her release her own music (despite her signing a contract for an album deal with them). They only allowed her to be a feature on dance singles. So her success is very much deserved and it's wonderful to see her thriving 😊

Practice, study, exercise, do not drink, smoke, not eating things that hurts his voice, his “guilty pleasure” is drinking soda… Please considering doing Sinful Passion, that’s the performance brought the renowned composer (who created Stranger and many more) back from retirement to work with Dimash. In the video you can see him have a standing ovation. Another epic performance by Dimash (also created by Igor) is Olympico. Both of the songs are very different from what you have reacted to.
