    Humanity makes me sad. We're so divided now a days and it's so difficult to actually have productive debates with people because of the polarizing sides and the mentality of how the other opposer is either stupid or inherently evil. Times like these are essential to actually voice opinions in respectful manners both sides having real conversation and actually "communicating" rather than arguing. Let's educate people not degrade them. Fighting amongst one another only contributes to the issue.

  • @MrJH101

    Why is Trump pandering to coal workers? Can't we all just admit that coal mining is unskilled labor? We could invest in cleaner forms of energy and simply re-train these people to perform slightly different tasks. Bills and energy costs go down long term and with the US' huge workforce, we could become leaders in renewable energy and make massive profits from smaller countries. But I guess why get out ahead of a global business trend when you can pander to an unskilled group of workers in an attempt to satisfy campaign promises, right?

    • @Brainbuster
      @Brainbuster 7 років тому +26

      I keep asking myself the same question. What's with Trump's infatuation with coal miners?
      They're a dying breed. Does he want to bring back the horse and carriage, too?

    • @johnmcenroe1760
      @johnmcenroe1760 7 років тому +3

      Ryan A lot of the coal industry is automated and where you need people is mostly in transport or as an operator of the big machinery like diggers for example. Are those people doing unskilled work? I don't think so. I would not be able to just jump in and do those jobs. Don't think you could either tbh.
      Coal is, unfortunelty, the largest growing energy resource atm. Why? It's cheap, abundant and mostly because of the dismantling of nuclear energy. Renewables just can't keep up with the demand.

    • @a.tarmon3900
      @a.tarmon3900 7 років тому +7

      Ryan because it isn't the job of the government to "invest" in anything! read the Constitution! If renewables/clean/green energy is best, cheapest, I GUARANTEE you private companies with their billions will race to invest.

    • @Ryan-by8ui
      @Ryan-by8ui 7 років тому +3

      +A Tarmon This discussion has nothing to do with the Constitution. The federal government wants to make money, but Trump is so shortsighted and selfish he doesn't want to oversee a transition to federally backed clean energy efforts because it won't make instant money like say, coal or gas. Private companies will continue to make money off of renewable energy, but they're now competing with the leader of our government who just gave his unconditional support to factory workers and miners.

    • @a.tarmon3900
      @a.tarmon3900 7 років тому +3

      Ryan HA! good, let them compete against coal! That is sweet, beautiful capitalism my friend. And yes,it had everything to do with the Constitution, because no, the federal government doesn't need to make money. they are best served completing the simple tasks outlined for them to do in the Constitution.

    12:07 "The agreement is a massive redistribution of United States wealth to other countries." Trump says he is willing to re-negotiate the Paris climate agreement "under terms that are fair to the United States and its workers or to negotiate a new deal that protects our country and its tax payers". Irregardless Trump says the US will remain the "world's leader on environmental issues, but under a framework that is fair and where the burdens and responsibilities are equally shared among the many nations all around the world." -- Other countries, such as China, put themselves first and their workers. 26:03 "exiting the agreement protects the United States from future intrusions on the United States sovereignty and massive future legal liability". "The Paris Accord would undermine our economy, hamstring our workers, weaken our sovereignty, impose unacceptable legal risk, and put us at a permanent disadvantage to the other countries of the world." "It is time to pursue a new deal that protects the environment, our companies, our citizens, and our country."

    Germany and France moved from green energy to coal energy for future energy demand (since 2014). China and India don't have to cut CO2 emissions until 2030 according to the Paris agreement though they generate more CO2 than the USA. This agreement is bad for the USA economy.

    You people realize that one day we will run out of oil and gas. We need to move away from it and move towards renewable energy sources, which are better for our environment. Even if you don't believe in global warming you have to realize that once we run out of oil and gas, we will loose thousands of jobs and the world will fall into turmoil because of our reliability on these resources. We have to switch to renewable energy and we must do out best to undo global warming before we ruin this world for future generations. And once again you people can through at me that global warming isn't real but you have to agree that we must remove our reliability from oil and gas. If we don't thousands of jobs will be lost and many bad things can happen. This deal punishes us because we deserve it. We produce so much greenhouse gases so we have to be punished for that and fix our mistakes. Feel free to argue and yell at me in replies or praise my words. I will gladly debate against you calmly please. We must start a conversation and not a yelling fest.

I think it's going to take a while until we run out of natural resources, I'm sure by that time there will be newer greener technology out, that can be done by investing in private sectors to research ... I don't get it. Since this is a *voluntary* agreement, why not just change the terms of agreement? Not back out entirely.
    China will end up becoming the world leader in green energy manufacturing.
    America is quickly siding into 2nd place in many aspects. Corporations still need to sell to Europe and Asia, so the Paris accords will continue with or without America's approval. When the sanctions start rolling in, you'll see how fast the big ones bail and set shop in Berlin, Beijing, and New Delhi.
    Poor decision, even though he was heavily advised not to back out.

      We've joined Syria as the only other country in the world to back out. (Nicaragua thought that the agreement didn't do enough.) The world is laughing at us. But hey, we are reaping what we sowed.
      But this whole deal is bigger than jobs/economy. No matter your position on the very real threat of climate change, what are we gonna do when one day we can't find oil/coal?

Considering the current issues of the 21st century, sustainability and environmental issues are at the heart of one of them. And Trump made a mistake to the Paris alliance by not only thinking advantageously and "financially" just for us, but for not thinking sustainably, ecologically, surely and with a futuristic vision of our world up front!® :-uu

    Good news for the rest of the world. The USA won't be blocking the future negotiations within the Paris accord. The trillions and trillions of investments in third world countries will also more likely be given to remainers, such as European and Chinese companies for renewable energy. I think this man just cut into America`s own flesh. He pulled out of the treaty and gave away influence and thereby weakened the American companies which are trading with new technologies.

      Trumps own words.. the money which the first world countries will give to the developing countries. Trump said that all these massive amounts will be damaging the American economy. It will now as well. Why should any member country of the accord now chose American energy products over Chinese and European if there can be better deals and further negotiations within the framework of the climate treaty..

      Maybe American products aren't as good as Trump has it if you're selling so little to the rest of the world. The climate treaty could have been a wonderful opportunity for the new renewable energy sector in the States to grow even faster and create many new good jobs. Trump didn't say much about this. The US would have been a major contributor to the accord but could have helped American energy companies to benefit massively from this money. Even Exxon Mobile was clever enough to protest against an exit.

The person who told me about this suit said that California for years has interfered with "Interstate Commerce" with its policies and that the political climate at the time would not allow for such a suit to be considered. Now that the pendulum is swinging the other way.. it is time. The State stands to lose billions in fines it has collected... ITS ALL ABOUT THE FKN MONEY!

    its the same reason why we never sort out garbage at work. it costs too much to "reduce" waste.

      It only takes one employee to put up a bin, and spend their own time emptying it each week or day. When people start caring on an individual basis things the rest will change. It is not about spending 100 billion for less than 1 degree of climate change.

      Question dodging is the intentional avoidance of answering a question. This may occur when the person questioned either does not know the answer and wants to avoid embarrassment, or when the person is being interrogated or questioned in debate, and wants to avoid giving a direct response

    The USA, as the second largest polluter in the world, does not take responsibility for their greenhouse gas emissions. Climate change now already affects the most valuable ecosystems, such as the coral reefs and vulnerable island states. That while fast-paced climate solutions like renewable energy are a blessing for the economy and employment

      Actually a 2 degree difference in the overall temperature of the Earth will in fact be incredibly drastic. The research shows that it will cause irreversible changes. Btw this is pretty basic information, I'm surprise you didn't know this.
