    I put CSL and EXO on my 2018 RAM about 3.5 years ago and still have insane gloss and water beading. I put CSL as a stand alone on a family members vehicle about the same time and it still looks great as well. Use good products during your maintenance washes and who knows how long it will last! I use a lot of Getechniq products!

    • @a5tony840
      @a5tony840 3 роки тому +2

      If your surface is clean (decontamination free) you should be able to add another layer. Most detailers will do this as a maintenance but rare since it is not very cost effective in the first year and in some cases requires a light polish to ensure the surface is 100% ready for the topper.

    I only use CSL on my customer's cars and then apply C2V3 as a topper , these 2 work perfectly together and if the car is garaged even as a daily driver this coating along with once a year reapplying C2V3 on a maintenance wash brings this coating to a 4 to 5 year protection , absolutely the best coating hands down.

    • @waxmanvids5015
      @waxmanvids5015 3 роки тому

      I love what you are saying but it brings me to a question that I have… If you and I put C2 on the coating every six months how do we really know how intact CSL is? Would love to hear your input...I put csl on my escape last year and I'm going to test it periodically letting nine or 10 months go by with no topper and see how the coating is doing..

    • @jimrogiokos9690

      @@waxmanvids5015 You do not need to apply C2V3 every 6 months , CSL is a very good coating , but depending on your mileage you may want to apply every 6 months. When you are going to reapply C2V3 makes sure you do a chemical decontamination before you apply the C2V3. DO NOT CLAY BAR , only chemical Decontamination. Now after the chemical decontamination test the panels for water sheeting and water beading, it will give you a idea of the base coats performance or CSL performance , from there you can if you want reapply C2V3 . I personally do not like EXO at all i only use C2V3 as a topper because it wears off quicker and gives me a better idea of CSL real performance. I can tell you that most of the cars i maintain perform great with this method with a minimum of 3 years and i have seen 5 years but 5 years is rare, most vehicles last 3.5 to 4 years for sure . This is by far one of the best coatings on the market not just for the detailer for ease of application but for the customer as well for the coatings bang for the buck.

    • @SSSandhu13

    This video has come up just at the right time .
    My question: My car was professionally coated 2 months ago in CSL on vertical panels and C1 on flat section (roof, hood, etc). C1 doesn't really seem to be all that hydrophobic at all, have you also experienced this when you've used it?
    I was thinking of putting exo on top to boost the hydrophobics. What steps would I need to do in order to apply it successfully given there has been that period of a few months since the CSL/C1 application?

    If you just apply EXOv4, how would you recommend applying Beadmaker? Should I do the initial coat as heavy and use as a drying aid(a couple sprays per panel) for future washes?

    • @a5tony840
      @a5tony840 3 роки тому

      You would be able to use it as a topper without heavy coats. I have been able to use beadmaker as a drying aid on various coatings without an issue. Still prefer products with SiO2 since they play nice and don't take over the coating's behavior as much.

      C2V3 if you want to stay within the family but I have had success with a lot of different SiO2 spray coatings. Recently used Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Detailer as a drying aid which impressed me since it didn't overpower the coating but made it perform like when I applied it a year ago. Jescar Bead It is another good product at a great price. Hope this helped out.
