9:01 there are actually individual languages in each region if you look at text for things like store signs and bulletin boards, abyss creatures language appears most similar in text to Fontaine and Monstadts meaning it’s probably the real world equivalent of latin alphabet. I personally had genshin demography as while the language of teyvat is wildly spoken, each region does have its own language and the reason you can’t talk to every npc or hear what they’re saying is because they can’t speak the language of teyvat or just aren’t at that time. I also think it’s why the traveller didn’t talk much in earlier quests, because they weren’t as used to teyvats language. I think it’s quite a little Easter egg I don’t see people talk much about
