From Hirogawara Bus Stop, walk along the road in the direction of the tourist information center. Cross the bridge and then continue to the trail until you find a junction point that forks the trail. Walk the left trail to Okanbasawa if you are planning to cut the hike and camp straight to Kitadake-sanso hut. But if you want to camp in Kata-no-koya like what we did in this video, take the trail on the right for Shirane oike hut.
Hirogawara Bus Stop - Shiraneoike Hut
    2 hours - 3 hours
Shiraneoike Hut is a good place to eat lunch and to fill up you water bottle. From here, the trail becomes very steep and requires great amount of energy.
