Those rock piles are actually called cairns and they were used as a way of remembering the dead. The art of building a cairn was balancing stones into a tower and required effort on the part of the living to remember the dead. Incredibly meaningful for some too. I’ve built cairns myself as a meditative experience and it’s incredibly powerful.
WARNING! ANGER achievement is very missable! The level ends when you make 3 ground pounds. With the bigger statues if you don't get enough height the statue is not destroyed. This means a failed pound stops you getting the achievement! If you miss destroying a statues then quit to the menu and try again. I missed the achievement twice as I didn't know what was ending the level. Thanks welsh hunter another great guide
About EEL achievement if you fail the first phase you can quit and reload until you do it correct. If you fail the second phase quit and reload until you do it correct. You'll get the achievement (if it didn't pop up like happened to me look at your achievement list. Greetings from Italy

Actually it’s Spanish :) It’s made by a Spanish developer in Barcelona, but the word for grey is spelt the same as French, just pronounced differently.
If you dashboard out it will put you at the statue right before the start. I struggled a bit with this one on PS4 and PS5 and still keep getting hit on third one where you go behind the wall, just like those playthroughs.
