The second edition has the new 2nd Edition Battle Maps, all new cards and the 4 player aids. If you already own the first edition, you can simply buy the "Upgrade kit" instead of a whole new game. The new expansions are compatible with the 1st edition of D-Day Dice, and you will not need the upgrade kit for them.
I bought the 1st edition 5 or 6 years ago. The first edition has only 8 maps and all of the components have slightly different art. More obvious to me is that the player counters came pre-assembled in the first edition. I don't know how much effort goes into assembling the new ones, but it looks like an unnecessary oversight on behalf of the game developers.

Thanks for making this video...I just ordered this version and look forward to playing it with my sons.
No problem. I wish I had sons to share this game with! Have fun!
Which version has the cool looking speckled dice. Those look very basic compared to the others I've seen.
There are many different dice, look at my unboxing videos of the expansions and KS exclusives! Can't remember any speckled dice though
How many of these 12 maps have solo option?
All of them Sir!
Played once it’s fun.
Oh yeah, I love it ❤️
Cool channel!
Thank you, Sir!
Do you know the difference between version 1 and version 2?

The 1st is out of print, the 2nd is not.
