It should just be a sequel to the 2009 movie. Tom was still alive at the end. I also would like to see a continuation of the sorority row movie because the tire iron with different weapons on each arm is the most unique murder weapon I’ve seen in a horror movie
Personally I didn’t like Scream 5 and 6. IMO Scream 4 was the last good Scream film. They should just leave Scream alone and these legacy franchises if they aren’t gonna make something other than copy and pastes of the older installments. The Stranger Chapter 1 literally is a paint by numbers shot for shot remake similar to Pyscho 1998 but without soul and passion behind it unlike the original. Now, if Scream got a spin off movie based on Stab that would make for an interesting new take and be cool because it would not just be like the mainline Scream series and have a different feel like a B junk food movie and it doesn’t have to worry about continuity nor making decisions story wise that upset fans nor be afraid to get more meta than the Scream films were as well as acting as a soft reboot that doesn’t require new fans to watch the older Scream movies to follow.
I am so excited about this movie coming out!!! This should have been a major franchise!

I would rather Valentine (2001) be remade than this one. Keep the creepy cherub mask but do something different. Or even a sequel/reboot

I wouldn't mind a remake,would have preferred Urban Legends getting remade
