- Scream 7 is said to have Ghostface going after Sidney Prescott for the first time since Scream 3. Scream 4 Sidney wasn't the main target just like Scream 5 and Scream 6 didn't have Sidney at all.

Sidney showing up made Jill's plan more viable because She could take her put too but the plan was to replicate Sidney life with the Boyfriend and make Jill the new Sidney. @@FateDecided Jill knew Sidney was coming to Woodsboro because it was the last stop on Sidney’s book tour. She absolutely was targeting Sidney so she could kill her and replace her. As Jill said to her “there’s only room for one lead…”
@@FateDecided Jill knew she was showing up because of the book tour. If you remember they planted the knife and phone in Sidney’s trunk. That was premeditated. They planned on her being there and they made her the main target by going after everyone she loved.
Ghostface wasn't going after Sydney the only reason why he went after Sidney because she got involved with the Carpenter sisters.

@@FateDecided and for me personally, I can see both sides of the Stu argument, however being the 7th entry in the series and the 6th with our final girl it no longer makes sense for her to have all these enemies come out of the woodwork solely because they want revenge for relatives. I think for them to make the storyline cohesive it actually could work rather well to tie all the entries together with the Stu cult, leaving 7 on a cliffhanger with a killer getting away and 8 being Sydney and or gale unraveling the web to get closer to the truth and have the final showdown be in 9. Honestly though, i just love movies and whatever they do.. well they do and I’ll enjoy regardless
@@Sara-db6cjI agree that if she's being targeted again all of a sudden then there needs to be a good reason. I would like to see Stu back but I doubt he will because Kevin Williamson has said that he believes Stu is dead and also the idea for Scream 3s original script is already well known and that won't shock fans anymore. There may be no chance of this but I think it would be interesting if the killers at the end of Scream 7 are the Carpenter sisters. I know they supposedly quit and got fired or whatever but that could have been played up to throw us off the track that they could be potentially the killers in 7.
Sidney was very much the main target of Scream 4. Jill started the whole spree because she was aware Sidney's next stop was Woodsboro on her press tour. She and Charlie pulled it off to exact revenge on Jenny for being "the other woman" in Trevor's cheating spree but also to show Sidney that once she was back in town there's dead people again. The deleted scene even has Marnie and Jenny set-up like Steve and Casey from the og.

This is incorrect and even scenes were Ghostface and eventually Jill relays the plan. Trevor was the fall guy and "Jill" was the main target to set everything up. Jill's mother and friends were the main targets and Sidney showing up caused the inclusion. Sidney wasnt needed for Jill's plan.
Well the only person who would go after Sidney after all these years would be STU!!!!! It obviously has to be someone who has a connection to her after all these years
At this point in the franchise Gale should just be the killer. Scream 6 didn’t kill her off when it should’ve. Think about we can take this back to 4. Gale was definitely making money off of the stab films but people like Marnie don’t really like those films despite liking the horror genre. Gale wants to write a book after the same night Jenny and Marnie were murdered. There wasn’t another stab film until 2021 which was widely hated. So Gale organized the events of 5, 6 and now 7 until it infinitely.

@@FateDecided Yes but her cousin clearly did that because she knew Sidney was coming back to Woodsboro for the anniversary and book tour thing. After all, they’re family. So it was still all because of Sidney.

Her plan was already set up and in place, she already started killing before Sidney came. Sidney wasn't needed for the plan but just made her plan more viable. Ghostface even tells her in a scene that they aren't killing her to make her watch essentially.

Her plan had nothing to do with Sidney and started long before she came to town. She had already had Trevor's girl killed and setting him up. Jill's plan was to replicate Sidney Prescott and wasn't going after her at all. There even a scene where Ghostface tells Sidney they want to make her watch. Jill even relayed the plan ect. But Sidney showed up and this for involved.
To Further My point is correct, Sidney Survived and Yet at the end of the Movie Jill Still became the Hero and Star. Sidney wasn't needed
