EF students, read this ! It happened to me... Very disappointed by EF education during the Covid time! Here is the thing. I was supposed to go to learn Spanish from 4/5 to 23/5 in madrid but the EF madrid office where I had an amazing time, closed due to the covid situation which we knew that it will end up that way. I kept emailing @ef to get an update on what’s going on during march, as I am was getting close to my departure. They suggested me another location or to change my dates but only after I did called them. I understand the commercial aspect here, but this is not what I am more disappointed about... I explained to the lady that I wanted to go only in madrid and it was the only reason why I registered with EF. I then asked for a reimbursement based on: - school is closed definitively - the crisis that we are going through - cannot go to another office not another time - Paid for a service that I will not have She told me that EF DOES NOT REIMBURSE... but they redirect students to other countries, schools etc... I was chocked and told her that I wanted to be reimbursed before sharing my experience on the social media. The day after her manager was supposed to call me in the morning and he did not, I had to call him... Can we talk about the customer service experience here... 0/20 We discussed about my case and he told me the exact same things as her colleague... so nothing helpful... same speech. I then asked to someone above, he gave me excuses that they were all working on this and cannot give me another name... really ??? He started to tell me that the government is not reimbursing people during this time, etc etc.. but that I could get a credit not... things that I do not understand! He was repeating the same speech all along... A lot of platform reimburse their clients and are truly by their side especially during the Coronavirus time and EF only wants to keep the money on my back during this difficult timing !!! I am so choked and it’s only during this kind of situations that you can see the human aspect and the worth of a company... I went 2 to Spain 2 times with EF and really thought it was a good provider... guess I was wrong ! Guys, I just want to warn you if you are in the same situation especially for ef madrid, start now to ask for a reimbursement !!!!
