Ironic. As soon as Megumi's foster dad isn't around, his deadbeat dad comes back into the picture. I'm guessing why they summoned him as a Zenin is because they never knew that he took his late wife's name. Even the guy that hired him called him Zenin.
Yeah, I don't think many people know he changed names, really only the Zenin's, Gojo, Geto, and Toji's "coworker" that we know of essentially, right?
@@JadonTheEternal definitely Gojo and the "coworker", but I don't think Geto knew unless he introduced himself as such to him and I doubt that anyone in the Zenin clan cared about him enough to know if he did change his name. They treated Maki like crap for having little to no cursed energy, so imagine how they treated you if you had absolutely no cursed energy.
This isn’t a spoiler but, iirc, in the manga is mentioned that summoning the dead by their original name strengthens the link with the summoner. Or something like that.
