Your Notion setup is beginner-friendly and highly automated. As a person with ADHD features, I find it extremely difficult to organize my life and brain, and with all the information I searched online, setting up my Notion has become another challenge. I've been using Notion casually for work, but never even considered using it as a personal planning system. This is amazing! I purchased your template IMMEDIATELY. I know you went in-depth in a lot of places, but I would LOVE to see more videos about your processes, especially how you do your quarterly reviews and such. Wow, I’m so surprised this is the first time I’ve see these structures. I’ve been struggling with the GTD method in notion because of the lack of structure as well. I’ve been reading his book, which is definitely helpful. I feel like his book is great for an overall good outline. But this method fills in all the gaps. ❤️

Hi Wesley - another Notion power user here. This is the first Notion tour I’ve watched where I feel like I can implement a lot of ideas. I’m at a similar level of organisation, automation, and connectivity with Notion as you, so finally I feel like I’m not alone in the way I use Notion! I’m particularly interested in using the pillars idea for my task and goal setting too! (Also, for my studies, the dashboard I have for that is called Hogwarts so I get the dark academia vibes you’re going for hahahah). A quick question about your daily reviewing/journalling: do you use the recurring task/page feature in databases? I use it for my daily journal so I never forget a day and can see if I haven’t filled it in yet very easily. Looking forward to watching more of your videos after discovering you today! Take care x

i'm that kind type person who doing my tasks based on how my mood that day sometimes i do nothing even i had task to do. it's kinda difficult for me to make a plan because i got distraced too much also when i made a planner it's just a temporary. because i found it's too much for me lmao. i used notion just for write how i feel or daily journal only but i feel like i need to use this app much better than just writing a journal. so i type how to use notion on youtube and i click your channel and it really helpful for me! thank you for the templates! have a nice day always, wesley!

I wanted to post back here with an update after having done a ton of work on the template that this has fixed so many issues I've had for years. If anyone is reading this and new to Notion, I started using it a month ago and this has been the most productive month I've had in a couple of years. I'm an attorney who's very capable at work but personal life has just been a sad dead plant. It's helped me get into therapy, get everything that was having me overwhelmed and into the cloud, and start executing. I scoured UA-cam and watched a ton of videos/checked out templates and Wesley's was a winner. I have no UA-cam skills to make my own vid but really wanted to come back here to hype because it's cool to me that UA-cam vids can actually change your life. My biggest takeaway I've learned is that I can really only get one "hard" thing done a day. And that's OK. I'd love to see a video Wesley of what you've learned about yourself and productivity having done this for years - what reflections are you having after doing all that work?
Super super helpful. My daughter showed me Notion recently and it has made me rethink my entire planner system. I’ve been an avid planner for 7 years now and had always done GTD method planning within the Franklin covey planning system. I then did a combo of GTD and Bullet journaling. Then I moved to digital planning when I bought a smaller house and often times struggled with the searchability of a PDF but things like OneNote or Todoist wasn’t streamlined enough to keep me using it consistently. That’s where Notion has stepped in and I’m really excited to see how this system evolves for me. I’m looking into pillars, vaults and pipelines so we will see if maybe it will work better for me than my current system. Thanks so much for sharing! Excellent template!

I spent the last 30 years cycling through apps, methods, and products...the disorganization of my life played a good part in some failures in life. Thanks for being someone I can relate to wrto planning. Also, the "DO" date method you mention is a game changer, as "DUE" dates are horrible for anyone with executive function disruptive disorders...ADD/ADHD/Anxiety...your concept of "DO" date is wonderful as long as one can properly assess the time a task takes (EFDD people often chronically underestimate task times).

Create a new view (I called mine "30-Day Averages) -> filter for Date / is on or after / one month ago -> hover over the bottom of each column and you'll see "calculate" appear -> click "calculate" -> choose "range" (hope that helps!)

I have been trying for the last two years to create a good enough system to prioritise your tasks and goals, now FINALLY having arrived at my current Dashboard. Hi, this is awesome! I'm just setting up everything in an attempt to tame my chaotic life. Thank you so much for building this! So far I only struggle with setting a category for projects. I can see that there are set categories in the examples but when I make a new project I don't see how to connect it to a life hub? I tried to replicate the relations and set them as in the example projects but I can't find the solution and pick a hub to connect my project to. I will keep trying :) EDIT: Nevermind, I just found it out and assigned my projects in the life hub page! I knew that I will find out as soon as I post my comment :)

Notion has a reocurring task feature now but I haven't really used it. I just manually drag a task (i.e., complete weekly review) to a new week everytime I finish it 😅

absolutely love this template! my favorite part are how the daily tasks links to the reviews!! as well as synching how you're feeling so you're able to pull an average to review. i'm going to start august bradley's learning, but i'm wondering if that will help explain your template in a little bit more detail? i am a little overwhelmed with it right now, mainly in how everything is linked. i'm not sure exactly where to start and where all these links are going. right now i just feel like i keep getting myself in a rabbit hole. do you think you could make a little more in depth explanation on how to imput info and where you can link your info in on the pages? hope this makes sense! other than that, i'm so excited to finally get the hang of this and 10x my growth by next year ღ
Remember, this was a year of tinkering! On top of a decade of trial and error with other methods. Don't add any complexity until you feel your current system isn't working anymore. Google docs is just fine :)

I really like most of your Notion! Lots of your ideas will help me when I make my own Notion set-up. I was just wondering how you did the following and next in line relations in the tasks?
I tried to use this template but I needed to change it up for what I need and it was so confusion and overwhelming. I don’t understand the differences between databases and pages. There’s links in links in links of pages like inception. This isn’t for a new user at all. It’s definitely an advance template. I’m probably going to delete it all and just watch some videos so I can make my own from scratch.

There's actually a free version that is rather extensive of August Bradely's PPV system template online, incase for the people that don't want to pay for this exact template but still want a proper skeleton to start editing from.

Within the template - where do you recommend starting to build it out? For example - does it make sense to start with high level dreams and work down to goals, then projects, spread across quarters? I am just trying to understand the high level process flow and where to best start within the template. Thank you so much!!
If you want to do a full annual review (setting up long-term goals) you can definitely start from top to bottom as you suggested. The other approach is to just build bottom-up, where you play around with pages that work for you right now (maybe start with the action zone and input this week's tasks) and add in additional pages/functionality organically as you find need for. :)

Super super helpful. My daughter showed me Notion recently and it has made me rethink my entire planner system. I’ve been an avid planner for 7 years now and had always done GTD method planning within the Franklin covey planning system. I then did a combo of GTD and Bullet journaling. Then I moved to digital planning when I bought a smaller house and often times struggled with the searchability of a PDF but things like OneNote or Todoist wasn’t streamlined enough to keep me using it consistently.
That’s where Notion has stepped in and I’m really excited to see how this system evolves for me. I’m looking into pillars, vaults and pipelines so we will see if maybe it will work better for me than my current system. Thanks so much for sharing! Excellent template!

I spent the last 30 years cycling through apps, methods, and products...the disorganization of my life played a good part in some failures in life. Thanks for being someone I can relate to wrto planning.
Also, the "DO" date method you mention is a game changer, as "DUE" dates are horrible for anyone with executive function disruptive disorders...ADD/ADHD/Anxiety...your concept of "DO" date is wonderful as long as one can properly assess the time a task takes (EFDD people often chronically underestimate task times).
Love seeing a good example of using PPV in action!

Love this video! Would love to know how (or a template) for your daily tracking system that then gives you both a daily and monthly view of all your habits with the corresponding formulas!! I am new to Notion so still trying to learn the fundamentals :)
Create a new view (I called mine "30-Day Averages) -> filter for Date / is on or after / one month ago -> hover over the bottom of each column and you'll see "calculate" appear -> click "calculate" -> choose "range" (hope that helps!)

Hi, this is awesome! I'm just setting up everything in an attempt to tame my chaotic life. Thank you so much for building this! So far I only struggle with setting a category for projects. I can see that there are set categories in the examples but when I make a new project I don't see how to connect it to a life hub? I tried to replicate the relations and set them as in the example projects but I can't find the solution and pick a hub to connect my project to. I will keep trying :) EDIT: Nevermind, I just found it out and assigned my projects in the life hub page! I knew that I will find out as soon as I post my comment :)

Notion has a reocurring task feature now but I haven't really used it. I just manually drag a task (i.e., complete weekly review) to a new week everytime I finish it 😅

absolutely love this template! my favorite part are how the daily tasks links to the reviews!! as well as synching how you're feeling so you're able to pull an average to review. i'm going to start august bradley's learning, but i'm wondering if that will help explain your template in a little bit more detail? i am a little overwhelmed with it right now, mainly in how everything is linked. i'm not sure exactly where to start and where all these links are going. right now i just feel like i keep getting myself in a rabbit hole. do you think you could make a little more in depth explanation on how to imput info and where you can link your info in on the pages? hope this makes sense! other than that, i'm so excited to finally get the hang of this and 10x my growth by next year ღ

Remember, this was a year of tinkering! On top of a decade of trial and error with other methods. Don't add any complexity until you feel your current system isn't working anymore. Google docs is just fine :)

I really like most of your Notion! Lots of your ideas will help me when I make my own Notion set-up. I was just wondering how you did the following and next in line relations in the tasks?
It's a relation linking to the same database (all tasks all tasks) :)
I tried to use this template but I needed to change it up for what I need and it was so confusion and overwhelming. I don’t understand the differences between databases and pages. There’s links in links in links of pages like inception. This isn’t for a new user at all. It’s definitely an advance template. I’m probably going to delete it all and just watch some videos so I can make my own from scratch.

I just purchased your template. Within the template - where do you recommend starting to build it out? For example - does it make sense to start with high level dreams and work down to goals, then projects, spread across quarters? I am just trying to understand the high level process flow and where to best start within the template. Thank you so much!!
If you want to do a full annual review (setting up long-term goals) you can definitely start from top to bottom as you suggested. The other approach is to just build bottom-up, where you play around with pages that work for you right now (maybe start with the action zone and input this week's tasks) and add in additional pages/functionality organically as you find need for. :)
