This is why I like the older helmets /Cairns 880 has the leather badge and a brass eagle, it was made this way for going out a window with no visibility, it would pop the glass and take the impact. I built my own, had it approved by Chief and everyone asked where did I get it. built it piece by piece. Nuff said. I'm proud to say I've saved many lives in five years, Jeep up the good work responders. Stay safe.
And help your classmates y’all are doing this as a team rookie school, fire school what ever you want to call it. That place becomes your new department your classmates are your fellow fire fighters
Don't go on air till you need it, as you see in the video guys are sucking on air 3 1/2 minutes before the door is forced, valuable air wasted that could be used inside to get you out !!
James Campola it’s a major waste of air especially for the guys standing on the side it takes 1 second to clip the regulator in as opposed to wasting 3 minutes of air
@James Campola not really how most SCBA systems work. You can still have your mask on and be breathing in regular air through the mouth hole, once you attach your respirator is when you are “on air” think about it like a straw that connects to your airpack. What they could have done better is wait until the door is forced to then attach their regulators and go on air while already having the SCBA mask on. I know I was late to the response but I hope this will help you understand. Stay safe and always remember that training and learning never stops 👍
Just so they can say they worked harder and a little longer than they actually did in training 🤣Just kidding God bless you jr firefighters love all of you guys
Why was one guy flaking out the hoseline while everyone else was standing around? And who the h ell taught these guys how to force a door, that was mighty embarrassing
We are so fortunate to have such an amazing training facility in our own backyard!
Yeah nothing like it is in firefighter shows and movies, in real life you can’t see a fucking thing
