  • In this video, we're taking a look at the evolution of the Harley-Davidson Road Glide with special guest Chris Callen.
The First generation RoadGlide was from 1998 to 2013, taking the original TourGlide to a new market and a setting a new standard of what a Touring motorcycle is.
Harley did not make a RoadGlide in 2014 and surprised the world in 2015 when they released the Second Genderation RoadGlide. This new fairing design was a HUGE improvement and quickly became the bike of choice for many.
Fast forward to last year at the 120th anniversary of Harley Davidson in Milwaukee, they released the 2023 CVO RoadGlide and StreetGlide both with new fairings. 2024 they changed the whole line up to the new fairings along with dropping the price of the bikes. Something that has never been done in Harley Davidson history.
So let us know in the comments which generation of RoadGlide is your favorite.

I believe there was no vette in 1983? Great stuff guys! Would be cool to see a tour glide sitting there though, just for giggles!

I bought the 13.5 for my 2023 RG CVO and it is ok, and better than stock. However, I had purchased a 10 inch HD windshield and it worked ok also, so when I bought the klock werks 13.5 I thought it would reduce the wind buffeting, but I feel no difference in them in the 13.5 and HD 10 inch, I am 6' 2" tall. It is much larger and wider than the HD 10 inch, which allows the front speaker music to be more directed toward you, which is very nice.
The style is very nice and looks good, but I may buy the 12 inch pro-touring flare because it cosmetically looks better and sportier, as the 13.5 is a little high, knowing that 13.5 did not really make a difference from the HD 10-inch windshield wind buffeting. So, my big question is, does the 13.5 perform a great deal more than the 12 in pro-touring, as the 13.5 is really to tall, and I really would like the same performance, but a little shorter. Thank you, your stuff is great!!

There are a lot of factors that can change which windshield will work best for you. I am 5’11” and the 10” is my preferred windshield out of the 3. The 12” will direct the air a little differently than the 13.5”. Where that is in reference to your helmet I’m not sure of.

I love my Gen 2 with all the upgrades I've done. I tested drove my buddy Gen 3 and put about 300 miles on it, and I just don't like it.
