Congrats we all know you just wanted to keep up with all the cool you tubers (Pete and OTW) I think it’s awesome you definitely can get some work done with that thing !
I’ve rented an excavator a couple of times and Chuck & I totally agree, there are so many things you have to learn for your feet and your hands to do things that others seem to do without thinking. But you’ll get there! Tim in Northern TN
Hello great videos love watching your videos. Go to a part of the farm that doesn't have any power or water or drain lines in the area and dig a hole and dig some trenches with it to practice with to get use to digging with it.
Tbh with the size of farm you have and with new projects you have and continuing maintenance it will pay for itself, be a time saver and eventually save you money.
Excavators are by far the easiest piece of equipment to operate. You'll be a pro in less than a month. Something like a Case 580 backhoe is a different learning curve, well the ones from the 80's and 90's were. They were a pain in the ass, but soon became my favorite.
u broke up a bit brother when u where in the mini x but i heard part of it takes time to learn new mechinery it certainly does My good old neighbor I always called him English brian from whales lol because i had 2 awsome neighbors named brian up in mass anyway his whole life was mini xing great man he knows his stuff great video love it god bless 🙏🙏
You will be fine. It’s like anything else just takes a little time! Before you know it you will be doing it and not think anything about it. Just enjoy the process and don’t worry about the negative comments. People that are negative are usually the jealous ones! Love your channel and keep on evolving!
Can't believe I was wrong with my guess, just knew you were buying a skid steer, never operated an excavator, but can imagine the learning curve, and if you see you don't use it as much as you think, you'll never have any problem getting your money back out of it, enjoyed as always, take care
That's what I guessed. Made no sense to buy another side by side or tractor. No need for skid steer when you have a front loader on a tractor to perform similar functions albeit at a slower pace and smaller scale. Therefore the only missing capabilities would be what an excavator can do. That Kubota looks good and it will surely be a massive asset to you guys.
Great investment and great content. I was in a store in Utah and saw a stand of beef jerky and wished yours was there. It wasn’t so I decided not to buy. Best wishes
To my knowledge, Kubota is a Japanese company, but also opened an American plant in Georgia. A lot of the parts and the diesel engine is made in China, though.. and then shipped to Japan or Georgia for assembly. But it does provide some good jobs down there in Georgia.
one whole day on it you will get it down. Clearing ...i would watch youtuber "letsdigit" for tips on clearing /swampy areas/ponds/brush pits for burning (game changer). He is very responsive to viewers as well. I have had an excavator for 15 years and his videos helped the most with tips and techniques for restoring my farm in my spare time.
@@SheratonParkFarms you ll enjoy that machine for the sawmill as well. Keeps my logs cleaner and i can load them on a trailer to transport to the mill. Congrats
Very nice and useful piece of equipment. Wish we had one.
Thanks. BIG learning curve. Hope y’all are doing well!!
you might want to watch Outdoors with the Morgans. Mike had one like that before he moved up on one. He is amazing with that Kubota.
the 057 is super capable. We used one for digging out a hillside for doing retaining wall backfill.
What a blessing God is providing for Your Family
Chuck, that’s one awesome looking machine. Can’t wait to see all the projects you can achieve.btw Saundra is Looking amazing! Love and god bless. 💕
Once you take care of drainage, that machine will pay for itself. Well done!🎉
I think so! It’s got a lot more capability than I do.
Wish I had one, NICE Machine.
Very good choice coming very handy where you live and what you own👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Congratulations very good decision I believe, LORD WILLING I will be getting mine very soon!
I’m so excited for you guys! I think this will be a great addition to your farm!!!!!
Thank you!
Congratulations! Y’all deserve this! Look forward to seeing some more projects with it!
Tbh with the size of farm you have and with new projects you have and continuing maintenance it will pay for itself, be a time saver and eventually save you money.
I think so. And we’ve got some bigger projects coming up
Hopefully this will be a blessing to your projects.
Thanks Dwight!
Nice machine! those of us on Patreon knew a while ago what the mystery machine was 🤭
Y’all sure did! We try to keto you a little bit ahead of everyone else. 👍👍👍
I was correct. The mini ex is an indispensable machine. I just got a bobcat e42 r2 for my small acreage
I'm sure you will find all kinds of projects to use your new machine As they say practice makes perfection
Ha! I was right that’s what I chose. Definitely a handy machine to have. On my wish list for sure.
Good guess. I think we’ll use it a lot.
Looks like a beautiful piece of equipment. I think you will learn to love it.
Awesome purchase, guys. Give it time it gets more natural feeling .
Super exciting! That is also my next farm machine purchase
Congratulations 🎉 I'm looking forward to seeing every project you attack with your new tool! Great job you two!
Thanks. No shortage of projects to do.
Congratulations 🎈🎊🎉so happy for you and your beautiful wife. God bless you and your Farm. 🙋🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
Thanks Peggy!
Hey Chuck. I bought a 57-5 a couple years ago and have no idea how I ever got along without one. Youre gonna love it.
WOW. The sight of Saundra wielding a chainsaw is enough to give any man PAUSE!
Congratulations! So many things you can do! Cleaning fence rows especially!
No kidding. I need to get that mower.
Congrats you two
Thanks Jerry!
I would have holes and ditches dug in places I didn't need, just to do it! Congrats!
Congratulations 👏

Agree! It’s just count to take some practice and seat time.
Around the 11:55 mark, I can see why Sandra said I think we should get it
😆😆. Yep! She’ll take my toys away from me.

You looked to be gittin' 'er dun! LOL! 👍
Nice machine! You are soooo gonna enjoy that A/C in the summer!!!! But what happened to your finger?
Great job guys! Won’t be long until operating that new toy will become second nature. Chuck, what did you do to that finger you have splinted?
😆😆. Good eye. I cut the dickens out of it right on the knuckle. Had it splinted so I wouldn’t bent it and reopen the cut.
Some day it will be like it is an extension of your hand. Lots if practice 'tween now and then.
Thx
Thanks for watching.
Nooice! 😎 STOC
Thanks!
I was wrong 😢
Time to build a pole barn area to keep all your equipment out of the weather.
We may have to do that. Thanks for watching.
i should have guessed
good choice on kubota.. I hear John Deer is going downhill fast :(
Been hearing the same thing.

Thanks. Order some. We’ll send it to you
Maybe we should just let Sandra operate the new toy and u stick to shovels and other meaningless tasks 🤪
That may be the way we go. 🤣
Nice good choice Chuck. Beats the mini ones made in China.
To my knowledge, Kubota is a Japanese company, but also opened an American plant in Georgia. A lot of the parts and the diesel engine is made in China, though.. and then shipped to Japan or Georgia for assembly. But it does provide some good jobs down there in Georgia.
@@fredthegreg Well at least some of its made here.
How much would something like that cost used?
Depends on the model, make, hours and any attachments that come with it.
I have a job for you with that new machine. Do you come to Indiana?
You just have to hold your lip just right 😂
i was right lol
What is the price of farm egg now
$6 dozen. No change
Y'all I can see it now, Sheraton Park Farms beef pork chicken an excavation
🤣🤣. And lumber!
I see you're not wearing skinny jeans so I got faith that you won't break it.
It ain't no Ford ranger
No it’s not. 🤣
You want to practice? Throw an empty can out on the ground and pick it up without bending it
