Looks great! And, since you happened to need the fill, I'd say that was part of the pay. Certainly saved you some cash to not have to buy fill, and no one had to pay to dispose of it!
I’m still impressed with the tire footprint. I noticed that it wasn’t disturbing the turf during the time lapse before you said anything about it. Even if the home owner agreed to repair his own fence, that’s still a million times easier than repairing a torn up lawn. It would’ve been a mud pit with a regular tractor.
In the past I have used a Sawzall to cut nails or screws off fence panels to avoid splitting pickets. Thanks for explaining why a Kabota tractor with a front loader wasn’t the best choice in that particular location. Tight quarters like that really make machines a lot less effective so I wouldn’t be so hard on yourself for taking your time especially if you haven’t used that attachment a lot. Great video as always!
A ‘yard glider’ under that tarp of rock would make it easy for removal off the trailer and they are made right there in Florida. It one of the most virtual tools I use with my Ventrac along with Power Bucket.
A city the size of Jacksonville you would think there would be somebody that rented attachments have you ever contacted ventrac and ask them for authorized dealers nearby for rental
Florida is a Ventrac graveyard. The closest dealer is in Jacksonville and there is only one. They don't have a retail location you can walk into to look at/demo/rent/buy anything. :(
@@CopperCreekCuts there was a place in Orlando that they said sold ventrac but they never had any in stock but he said that their location and New Smyrna Beach always had them on the floor when I go to New Smyrna I'm usually heading out fishing
Using a reciprocating allows you to cut the nails leaving everything intact and no damage. When reattaching, drill pilot hole through picket/rail and use 3" galvanized screws for damage free work.
You did the job they asked for. You fixed their fence. I assume you worked with your wife. You hauled away the rocks for your project. You gained experience with your Ventrac rake. I hope you got paid. Sounds like a win-win!
1:10 if the whole fence was just nailed together you could leave the fence panels alone and just use a prybar on the cross members. It would have saved the panels and been faster.
This is a 'hindsight is 20/20' thing. I was planning on it being screwed in, so pulled the pickets off...only to find nails. Also, they actually drove the nail that holds the cross member to the post THROUGH the picket, so that made me split the pickets when I was prying them off thinking the cross members were screwed. Oh well. Next time I am bringing pickets and a saw with me :D
I think I’d attach that SMV sign with some thumb screws or better yeah magnets so I could take it off quickly. There really no need to have it unless you’re traveling down the road.
You need to have a micro excavator like a Kubota U10 or K008. Get the 36" light material bucket or rake bucket and this would have been done in no time!
I had did the same work and thought it would only take me 4 hours with three people. Ended up spending 9 hours and bid way to low but still had to finish making around 12$ an hour per person
I think the only thing that may help is removing the front tires attached to the rake for tighter quarters, but I am not fully sure what service they provide so I could be off base completely
Actually that would have been pretty smart. I don't think I needed the wheels for what I was doing and they just are held in with some pins that quick disconnect. Next time I will use this!
it seemed like the rakes wheels got in the way i wonder if it would have been easier to remove them I was also thinking of a mod if you bolted a piece of heavy enough sheet metal to the rake it could be used as a type of plow
Great video as always, Brad!! Do you ever re-evaluate the bid once you arrive at the job site? Now that you have the Ventrac, it almost seems like most jobs are manageable and you don't have to add more to the original bid (but also, your time is valuable, so keeping that in mind).
I always re-evaluate mentally and for next time, but if I give a bid I never come back and tell the client 'I need more'. I just eat the loss and do better bidding next time.
The rake would be better in back to rake forward to grass. You hardly got in area. Yea 750.00 more like it in price. Nice work clean up area👍PS I sent you that Dollar General sign in water..
In this case Ii think you would have been faster manually. The Ventrac for carrying the buckets to the trailer is ok. Next time remove the wheels that makes working with it much more easier and efficient. 🙂
How long have you been waiting for your power bucket? I’d be callin up headquarters cuz I know we have stuff available I live 35 minutes from ventrac. I know they are pumping out equipment.
Moving white landscape rock because I'm changing the plantings. Doing it manually by removing the top large rocks and working down in order to dig holes. HATE IT!! Rock looks great till you have to reposition it. Never again!!
Great job Christmas is around the corner and then after that'll be Valentine's day pretty soon I've seen a lot of couples working together there's an idea just don't let her know take your wife to a nice restaurant lunch is never been to and take her to a nice dinner or maybe breakfast in bed one dayI'll give her a couple hundred bucks and tell her to go have a day with the ladies just let her know you appreciate her help
Brad - your wife is a real trooper! That was back breaking work she was doing
Nice, any job that pays low but gives experience is okay as long as it covers expenses. Great video
Not to mention, you got a very good workout, handling the buckets of rocks.
Love this video show the attachment! It is eating up the grass out of the rocks.... great example of the Ventrac!
Love the honesty, great video boss. A lot of people like to sugarcoat their videos here on UA-cam, so its great to see a realistic video.

Didn't realize the attachments are that long of a lead time.....crazy!
The 'better half' finally made an appearance! Great videos as always Brad!
Thank you for video been waiting to see the rake in action

This was beautiful work!!!
Hard work but quality results 👌

The amount of implements Ventrac offers is astounding. I wonder if anyone actually has them all?

Watching reviews on boats? Let me get that channel lol 😂 😊
Great video. Always have informative content 👍
We see you have good Help nice JOB!!!

Good job and well done 🎉

Glad you could use the stone. Is the owner going to do roll on turf ?
Yep garden rake for me for sure, 🤔🤕😳😉😎
I need one of them tractors
They are a fun way to do work for sure.
Doing this today. Smaller area. Landscape rock is evil!!

An extra 250 is supposed to make this job worth it? No way. This guy purposely underbids so he can get the job and make a video about it.
Nice video, Thank you! I'm curious what you did with the rock? Did you - or can you - do anything to separate the dirt from the rock that you removed?

💚👍👍👍
That’s machine is awesome however I am mostly a big fan of John Deere
What I learned from this video is to never use landscape rock. That stuff is like glitter, almost impossible to get rid of!
👍❤❤
Hi Brad
Hi!
Even at $50 an hour the free fill has some value to you. You didn’t have to pay to dump it.
Yeah, I looked on the bright side as much as possible! :D

Mr and Mrs worked out together for many hours. Not many couples do that.
If you had a big tool rack you could’ve raised it up with the 3 point.
Doesn’t look like Brad has the 3 point
Lawn Commander is correct, my tractor is pretty plain jane and I don't have any rear accessories.
@@CopperCreekCuts darn. That sucks. What’s your address I’m contemplating sending you a decked out 4520🤓🥸
"once its on the wood, its easier to slide"
... thats what she said?
I would gladly have paid 500 bucks for you to do this. Old rock removal sucks.
Most concrete companies will take rock for free. Just a heads up for when you don't have a low spot.
Nice, thanks!
Just work while talking. It cobsumed a lot of time. Viewers are not satisfied.
As I am concerned it is not the right tool for the job
ich frage mich was soll der scheiss, sorry!!!!!!!!!!!!!
